Dear Future Doctor of Education,

I am thrilled to inform you that Southern New Hampshire University's Graduate Education Programs is gearing up for the launch of an EdD cohort tailored specifically for Americans Abroad in August 2024.

Our innovative 48-credit EdD program offers a unique learning experience, with virtual, synchronous courses scheduled one weekend each month. In addition to these virtual sessions, our cohort will meet for a four-day face-to-face Residency held annually. The first Residency is tentatively scheduled for June 20-23, 2025, in a conveniently accessible location within South or Central America, ensuring easy travel for all participants.

The EdD curriculum revolves around key themes, including Leadership, Research, Organizational Development, and Dissertation in Practice. We firmly believe that fostering equity in education leads to more inclusive systems, as we empower our students to apply academic research to address significant questions within their respective contexts.

Here's a brief overview of our International Cohort model:

The program can be completed in approximately 3-3 ½ years, featuring virtual and synchronous courses each term.
Typically, students will take 7 credits per semester for the first two years and 3-4 credits for the third year. The tuition for the 2024-2025 school year is $680 USD per credit.

Three face-to-face residencies are mandatory, with each Residency incurring a fee of $1600 (additional international fees may apply).
