Pensacola Bombers

Well folks it has been a heck of ride!!! I just hate good byes so, instead this is a see you later.

We were established in 2021 as a spring coach pitch team made up of mostly 5 and 6 year olds. There have been so many highlights since then.

Who could forget our first walkoff, when the jumping Jays decided to walk John to load the bases with two outs in the seventh, and carter came up to deliver the walk off win on a single up the middle.

Or

When Tatum turn our first ever double play, when he caught a line drive at second and doubles the runner off at second base.

How about.

Big John hitting the first homerun ever by a bomber when he laced a hard shot into the gap and was off to the races winning this one by a large margin at home.

Then there is Caiden who had the very first perfect day at the plate when he went 3-3 against the 76rs.

Can’t forget Elliot being the long drive champion and the first Bomber to hit the fence on the fly, with his hard shot off the Orioles

Or Tristian being the first bomber to catch a fly ball in the outfield when he raced from centerfield to take a way a sure extra base hit against the thunder.

We had Brockson leading us in Batting during our first spring tournament in 2023, hitting an unheard of .840 on the weekend.

Eli was our first ever tournament MVP, during our first ever tournament win.


Caleb and Jace became the very first bombers to hit over then fence Homeruns during our second tournament wins in Gulf Breeze

There are so many other ones we could go on all day remembering and reminiscing about all the good times we have had.
In the end we ended up as a travel ball team that won two team championships.
But most importantly we walk away knowing that our lives have been better because of all kids and families that took a chance on our lil ole team.

We always end every practice and game with a prayer and a call up so, I leave you with this;

Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing us with memories that will last a life time, thank you for every individual that you brought into lives. I ask that you be with all these families as we move forward and that they know we are always here for them no matter what. I pray that they continue to develop into quality young men, and that you protect them lord. I lift up every player and family member to you lord, that if they don’t know you, they get to know you lord. We couldn’t have done this with our you lord, thank you thank you thank you. This is all for your glory lord! In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

In honor of Wayne Krause. You were a huge part of our Wave Baseball family and you will be missed.

Well the stomach bug knocked some players out today, but we still were able to get some work in with those who were still feeling well.

As we sit here on 9/11 it’s hard to put into words what this day means to so many people. All we can do is thank all those Brave men and women who defend our country both foreign and domestic.

10 days after the attack on America, the Mets played the Braves in New York City, and it was the first sporting even played after the attacks. Baseball provided just for brief moment some relief from the pain, an escape from reality, a sense of normalcy. A kids game meant so much to so many people, it brought Hope!

How we feel right now!

Baseball, fireworks, and Fourth of July go hand in hand. However, let us not forget what this holiday represents and give a moment of silence for all those brave men and women who still defend our freedom everyday.

Happy Father’s Day to all those BP throwers, Catch Partners, advice givers!! We are very thankful for the group of dads that we have !

Baseball will always be a game of Failure. If you think about it, Ted Williams is the last MLB hitter to accomplish hitting .400 in a season and he did so in 1941. That is still failing 6 out of every 10 at Bats. This is also why Baseball is the greatest game ever invented. You can be on top of the Mountain one day and down in the Valley the next, it is very humbling.

Your Pensacola Bombers wrapped up a very successful spring season. Playing in 5 Tournaments, and being crowned Champions in 2 of them (There is that .400 mark again). There were smiles and tears along the way, Good Times and Tough times, there were celebrations of milestones and hard lessons learned. At the end of the day it’s about development, the pure joy of the game, and building a Baseball Brotherhood amongst life long friends. We can confidently say that this group of players grew as brothers these last 4 months. Yes winning is always better than losing, we are a firm believer in that. Let’s not forget to stop and smell the roses for a little perspective along the journey to Winning.

These Boys and their Families have inspired people, have just begun what are the hopes to a very long very successful baseball careers, and have laid a great foundation not just for baseball but for life.

Well Folks today is the Final Championship day of the spring season. Your Pensacola Bombers look to take the hard road to a championship, and win Four Straight games. It has been done before and the Bombers are up for the task at hand.

The Bombers are rocking their City Connect uniforms as they hope to bring a title back for the Community of Pensacola.

Bomber Pin Trading and Opening Ceremonies

Alright folks, your Pensacola Bombers are set to begin their World Series run against 35 of the best 8U teams in the country this coming Tuesday. But First we must do some pin trading tomorrow night at 4!! Stay tuned for some updates throughout the week. As always follow our journey on Game Changer.

This weekend is not about your BBQ, your Tournament Championship Ring, or your Three Day Weekend, it’s about all those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice providing this freedom.
