Great news for diabetics in the US!
The government has recently announced that the cost of insulin will be capped at $35 per month for millions of Americans who rely on this lifesaving medication.
This move is aimed at reducing the financial burden on patients and ensuring that they have access to affordable healthcare.
We hope that this will bring some relief to those who have been struggling to pay for their insulin and enable them to better manage their diabetes!!
Government played role in Eli Lilly's insulin price cuts Drugmaker Eli Lilly announced Wednesday it will reduce prices for some of its most commonly prescribed insulin products by up by to 70%, and expand a monthly $35 cap on prescription costs for insured patients. CBS News correspondent Lilia Luciano reported on the government's role in the process.
REPOST (): As I watched my mother grow older, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness. She had always been a strong, independent woman, but as the years passed, her health began to decline. I knew that I had to be there for her, no matter what.
The first sign of trouble came when my mother was diagnosed with arthritis. It was a painful condition that made it difficult for her to move around. She struggled to do the things she once loved, like gardening and cooking. I took on more responsibilities around the house, helping her with chores and errands.
As time went on, my mother's health continued to deteriorate. She was diagnosed with dementia, and I watched as her memory began to fade. It was heartbreaking to see her struggle with even the simplest tasks. I had to step up and become her caregiver, making sure she took her medication and remembering important appointments.
As difficult as it was, I knew that I had to stay strong for my mother. She had always been there for me, and now it was my turn to be there for her. I spent hours researching her condition, learning everything I could about how to make her life easier.
Despite the challenges we faced, my mother and I grew closer than ever. We spent more time together than we ever had before, sharing stories and memories. Even though she couldn't remember everything, she always knew who I was. And that was enough for me.
As the years passed, my mother's health continued to decline. Eventually, she passed away peacefully in her sleep. It was a difficult time for me, but I took comfort in knowing that I had been there for her until the very end.
Looking back, I realize that those difficult times brought my mother and me closer than ever. We shared a bond that could never be broken, and I will always cherish the memories we made together.
Love you mom.
REPOST (): I never imagined that life could be so tough. Everything seemed to be going great until one day, my beloved dog, Max, fell ill. It was a sudden illness, and I had no idea what was wrong with him. I took him to the vet immediately, but the diagnosis was not good. Max had developed a rare form of cancer, and the prognosis was grim.
I was devastated. Max had been with me for years, and we had been through so much together. He was more than just a pet; he was my best friend. The thought of losing him was unbearable. But I was determined to fight for him. I did everything I could to make him comfortable and to help him through his illness. I spent countless hours researching his condition, trying to find ways to help him. But times were tough.
It was a difficult journey, but Max and I were in it together. We went through chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and I watched as he grew weaker and weaker. There were times when I thought I was going to lose him, but I never gave up hope. I knew that Max was a fighter, and I was determined to help him win this battle.
As we went through these difficult times, Max became more than just a pet to me. He was my constant companion, my confidant, and my source of strength. I don't know how I would have made it through those days without him by my side. He never gave up, and neither did I.
Eventually, Max's health began to improve. He started eating again, and his energy began to return. It was a slow process, but it was progress, and I was overjoyed. As we moved forward, I knew that our bond had grown even stronger. Max had been through so much, and I had been right there with him every step of the way.
Today, Max is doing well. He's healthy, happy, and still my best friend. We've been through a lot together, and I know that we'll face whatever comes our way in the future. Through it all, I've learned that sometimes the most difficult times can bring you closer to the ones you love the most. Max and I are proof of that.
