***ANNOUNCEMENT***
THE HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE AT MY HOME, SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 11/19-20/2022, HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
Full disclosure, I am homebound. My immune system is shot due to MS, so I can’t be around too many people. I’m currently on IV steroids, but thankful to be able to administer at home as opposed to the hospital. I’m hoping to reschedule the event within the next few weeks.
Meantime, I’m trying to stay busy and distracted. Soooo…
If there is anything you’d like for me to create for you, a fall wreath or centerpiece to display for Thanksgiving, please reach out. I am still taking orders and can get them to you in the next few days. I’ll be sharing some pics later today of fall wreaths that are ready to go, so watch for that.
I’m also taking orders for Christmas, and would love to send some cheer your way! Just let me know what theme you are working with, and I’ll follow suit. Or I can surprise you! In the words of Buddy the Elf, “ What’s your favorite color?”
If you are one of those that like to create things on your own, I have a TON of quality supplies. Just let me know what you are looking for, I probably have it.
Lots of love and joyful holiday wishes to you all!!
💋,
Tammy

CUSTOMER: "How much will it cost to do this job?"
CONTRACTOR: "$2,800 Dollars."
CUSTOMER: "That's WAY too expensive for this job!!"
CONTRACTOR: "How much do YOU think it would cost?"
CUSTOMER: "No more than $800 Dollars - MAX!! It's a simple job!"
CONTRACTOR: "I can't prioritize my time for so little."
CUSTOMER: "People in your line of work are so greedy."
CONTRACTOR: "Sorry you feel that way. Why not do it yourself?"
CUSTOMER: "But... but... I don't know how to do any of this."
CONTRACTOR: "For $900 Dollars, I'll teach you EXACTLY how to get this job done. Then you can spend $800 to do the job and you'll still be saving $1,100 Dollars - PLUS... you'll get the knowledge and experience for the next time you want to do a job yourself."
CUSTOMER: "Deal!! Let's do it."
CONTRACTOR: To get started you'll need tools. So you'll have to buy a welder, a grinder, a chop saw, a drill press, a welding hood, gloves and a few other things."
CUSTOMER: "But I don't have all this equipment and I can't buy all of these for one job."
CONTRACTOR: "Well then for another $300 more I'll let you rent my tools... and you'll still be saving $800 Dollars."
CUSTOMER: "That's cutting into my savings. But I'll rent your tools."
CONTRACTOR: "Okay! I'll be back on Saturday and we can start."
CUSTOMER: "Wait. I can't on Saturday. I only have time today."
CONTRACTOR: "Sorry, I only give lessons on Saturday, because I have to prioritize my time and my tools have to be at other jobs with other customers all week long.
CUSTOMER: "Okay!! I'll sacrifice my family plans on Saturday."
CONTRACTOR: "Yeah... me too. Oh... and I forgot... to do your job yourself, you also have to pay for the materials. Everything is in high demand right now, so your best bet is to get your truck and load up at 6AM before everyone else gets there."
CUSTOMER: "SIX AM??? On a Saturday??? That's way to early for me. And also... I don't have a truck."
"CONTRACTOR: "I guess you'll have to rent one. Do you have a couple of strong men to help you load and unload everything?"
CUSTOMER: "Ummm... ya know... I've been thinking. It's probably best if YOU get this job done. I'd rather pay someone to get it done correctly than go through all the hassle.
CONTRACTOR: "Smart move, sign this and please get out of the way so I can work."
THE REALITY IS THIS...
When you pay for a job, especially handcrafted, you pay not only for the material used, but you are also paying for:
- Knowledge
- Experience
- Tools
- Services
- Time
- Punctuality
- Accountability
- Professionalism
- Accuracy
- Labor
- Sacrifices
- Safety and Security
- Payment of tax obligations
No one should denigrate a professional's work by judging prices - ESPECIALLY when they don't know all the elements or costs necessary for the production of such work.
This was just a remix of an old story I once heard and I am sharing this in support of craftsmen, specialists and entrepreneurs everywhere!
You can't haggle over a service that you don't actually have the skills or knowledge to do yourself. You can't get a high quality gourmet dinner party for the same price as a Happy Meal from McDonald's. And you can't be mad when skilled people actually KNOW their own worth.
Be smart. Trust a reputable professional. And never forget... that you ALWAYS get what you pay for.
Couldn’t have said it better myself, Zachary Zaremba. 👍🏻

Hello ALL!!
I hope you are all doing well and excited for Easter! What are your plans?
To me, Easter is a very special time. It signifies forgiveness and acceptance, through the ultimate sacrifice of my Savior Jesus Christ. He died so that through Him, I may live! So that my family may live! My family means everything to me.
So naturally, my favorite part of Easter is spending time with my family. For years now, I’ve had an Easter brunch with a huge egg hunt for all the kids, little and big. We enjoy lots of food, lots of mimosas, and lots of laughter! I’m so thankful that I can still do this for them, and I’m grateful everyday for each and every single one of them! ❤️
Ok, full disclosure… After some serious procrastination, I decided I better get some decorations up!
As a snarky yet wise beauty school director/instructor once told me, “You most likely won’t sell it, if you don’t wear it.“ That statement still resignates with me to this day. So, okay, fine, I get it. Deco going up!
It’s a pretty well known fact I have a plethora of mesh, flowers, ribbon, etc.. But other than putting seasonal flowers in the pots, Easter bunnies on the porch, and of course the wreath on the door, I wanted to try something a little different. I’ve always wanted to hang a long swag going from the top of my door to the bottom, on both sides. Change it out with the holidays. But it’s just too crowded with the way my front door is situated. So instead, I chose to create a door “topper.”
Basically, I took a square wire frame from the dollar store and cut it diagonally. That gave me two 90° pieces, as you can see in the photo, which should fit at the top corners of the door frame. Next I cut a cheap little 4’ swag in half, just for some added greenery, and attached a piece to each frame with zip ties. I then cut 18” pieces of yellow, green, and pink mesh, and alternately attached those to the frames with chenille stems, “cruffle style.” Once the bases were done, I proceeded to add ribbon tails, a bow, Easter eggs, and flowers to each.
They honestly turned out really cute!! I did end up making a separate middle piece for the top of the door, which was a big bow with more flowers and greenery, to tie the two pieces together. Let me know what you think!
I do have more decor to add, of course. It is me, after all!! So, stay tuned to see how I piece it all together!

Tammy
