This was a fun little quick project. I’ve had this old jelly cupboard for 24 years. I gave it a new paint color and today it sold to a brewery restaurant in Tempe. So excited to see it go to a new home.

When life gives you lemons…
Yikes that’s a lot of lemons! We have a very happy lemon tree in our yard.

Did some thrifting and found this sweet little table for our foyer along with a few embellishments for the top. The window frame is from an old farmhouse in NC. ,

My only Christmas build this year. We moved states and literally got rid of all my scrap with the exception of one small piece of barn wood that I wanted to keep from our old state.
So… here is my Christmas star for my front door, made from to***co barn wood from NC.

Finally finishing up the secondary bathroom in our house. Swipe for the before. Started with the builder grade vanity and added some height. The original was way too low. New quartz countertop with one sink. New drawer on left side. Mirrored medicine cabinets removed and a custom concealed cabinets installed with a doors that made to look like a custom frame and allow for changing artwork.

Hi everyone. I have have been busy working on our home. Almost finished with our family room! Swipe to see the before. (What it looked like when we bought the house).

This was a fun project. Old armoire turned shoe armoire for my daughter.

Decided to go with an old school vintage feel with the color on this one.

Updated the guest bathroom. New paint, vanity, and light fixture. Painted the existing mirror. Just need to add some pretty towels and a floor mat and a few other decor pieces. Very pleased with how it turned out.

Hey Everyone! We received the keys to our house here in AZ about a week and a half ago and have been busy painting the interior and tearing out old flooring.
Today we are working on our guest bathroom. While we will eventually be changing out the tub/bath combo for a walk in shower, for now we are just updating the vanity and lighting. Here is a before shot. (The house has travertine flooring throughout and we will be keeping that.

In case you were wondering.. yes, we are now in Arizona. We are still in our temporary housing for a few more weeks. I am enjoying doing a little photography right out our back door.

Home is sold and the boxes are packed. We leave for Arizona on Wednesday!

Since we are moving, didn’t have a good place to stage this piece. But here it is finished. 😊

Our daughter's roll-top desk is getting a makeover. Hand painting this one so as to keep the spray booth looking pretty for house showings. Do you see that little jar of paint? That is Shabby Paints, in the color "Licorice". So far I have done one coat and I still have almost a half of a jar left!

Good morning friends. It’s been a long time since I have posted anything new and I wanted to just give a quick update as to why that is. Our family is getting ready to move (yes… again) and my time has been devoted to getting our house ready to sell and the usual household purge of things we don’t intend to move. Where to next? We are headed to the southwest. This page may be quiet for awhile as all of this unfolds. When we settle in at the next location you can be sure I will be back. Here is a little something I made last November, I imagine there will be much more of this in my future.

I have always loved old church pews and had been looking for one for awhile. A friend let me know about some that were available. While there were some 7’ ones available I knew I wouldn’t have the space, and then I saw this adorable 4’ one! Perfect for my front porch. The wood had split at the seams so it needed some TLC. I am so pleased with how it turned out.

I am taking a course in old world paint techniques taught by the extremely talented I am just beginning and am already loving it! I have so much to learn.

This old empire dresser was in need of many repairs. The wood had dried out and the veneer basically crumbled. I knew I wanted it to have a black somewhat distressed finished. After a week of rebuilding and then painting. She’s ready to go to her new home. Which just happens to be my home. 😊

So excited to have this one finished and ready to be delivered! Thankful to my sweet friend who entrusted me with her old armoire and gave me free rein. She suggested the lamppost and I was off to the races! Any C.S. Lewis fans out there?

Finally finished with repurposing the behemoth. One piece into three for my husbands office redo.

It’s ‘wear a beanie to work’ day…brrrr…. Glad I’ve got a short commute. 😉
