Steamboat Classic
The Steamboat Classic is a 1 mile, 4 mile, and 15K. The event is
held on the Saturday of Father's Day weekend in June.
4 MILE RUN / WALK
Steamboat Peoria 4 Mile Race is famous as the world’s fastest 4 mile course, but Steamboat is for more than just elite runners. We have created the ‘4 in 1′ challenge; the goal is to finish the Steamboat 4 miles in less than one hour – run, jog or walk, it can be done! The 4 mile run / walk starts at Adams and Main at 7:00 am.

The National Anthem will be at 6:55AM

Did you know that The Steamboat Classic began back in 1974 with Steve Shostrom serving as Race Director! Steve has made such an enormous impact on the running community in the central Illinois area! We are forever grateful to his contribution to this iconic race!
This will be Philip Lockwood's 30th year as Race Director! He took over when Steve stepped down! To celebrate 30 years, Philip Lockwood is walking the 4 Mile along with other Hall of Famers!

The Steamboat Classic 15K Race is regarded as Illinois’ Toughest 15K because of the hilly loops that the race course takes in Glen Oak Park. The 15K run starts at Adams and Main at 7:00 am.
2 MILE FUN RUN / WALK
The Steamboat 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk is designed especially for younger runners (pre-high school ages) and individuals with disabilities (all ages). The timed, but non-competitve, 2 mile fun run/walk run starts at Adams and Hamilton at 8:00.
