Stormy night over Garden of the Gods Park

I don't typically feel that safe chasing lightning storms, but in this case it all worked out amazing. I was watching the slow moving thunderstorm on my radar app and decided to post up in this parking lot. I got everything set up on my tripod and set up some long exposures. All the while keeping an eye on the radar app.

This was the night that I gave up on my lightning triggers. Long exposure photos are the way to go. This was a 30 second frame captured in a time lapse.

HOLY SNOW! Pikes Peak was clearly going to do well with this storm... Cog crews reporting 4 to 5 FEET of accumulation, with 12 to 15 FOOT drifts! Incredible!
