What do you do with leftover homemade wagyu beef chili?? Make a bomb diggity open face chili cheeseburger with sweet potato fries.
I made a pasta primavera with our veggies from the garden.. First I sauteed all the greens( Which consisted of Tuscan kale, swiss chard, radish greens and sorrel along with tomatoes and basil.) in olive oil to get them softened and I hit them with pepper and Himalayan salt with truffles. Next I added onion and garlic with an anaheim pepper. Next I added 1/2 a cup veggie stock and one tablespoon of heavy cream with a tablespoon of pesto and white wine. Then I tossed it all together with a casarecce pasta. It was amazing!! There is something to be said about cooking with ingredients from your own garden, you cannot match that flavor...
Tonight I'm roasting Brussels sprouts, chickpeas and red onion tossed in Olive oil with cumin, coriander Cayenne pepper salt and pepper. Roast all this for 25 minutes on 350. The finish drizzle is a tamarind, maple dressing.
Starting my adventure in sourdough bread making..
2nd batch of the sourdough using the starter. Its not as pretty as the other one but I hope it's less dense. So on these 2 I used bread flour and I'm wondering should i be using AP instead and is that causing it to be dense? But all answers i see are denseness is caused by not enough water or too much rising time and also not activating the gluten enough. We will see. The top one is the 1st batch the bottom 1 is the 2nd batch.
Made some killer wagyu burgers. These were the best burgers I have ever made at home!
