Happy Halloween from our spookiest devil vampire boy Phantom and Pawsitive Vibes Only! 👻 Big shout out to our favorite gals at for this masterpiece.
It’s our 7th wedding anniversary today! 🐾❤️ cheers to many more years of pawsitively wonderful (and slightly chaotic) partnership!
See you at 8am on 9/9!
Avery just wanted to pop by real quick to tell y’all two things:
At present, we aren’t taking on new dogwalking clients. Sorry! We expect that I’ll be fully rehabbed from my broken ankle by mid-September, 12 weeks from the break and once I am cleared by PT for all activity. When that happens, we will announce on social media that we are accepting new clients :) thanks for understanding!
For current clients, we have not yet opened our books for 2025. We’ll be moving (ugh but also yay) early next year and are not sure how/when that will affect our availability. The last thing we want to do is commit to dates and then have to cancel. We expect we’ll know the plan sooner than later, but as you know with moving…. It’s a pain in the ass and there’s a lot of variables. We appreciate your patience and if you are in a pinch and need to find a dogsitter before we can accommodate, feel free to reach out to any of our recommended folks!
Feel free to DM us with any questions :)
I forgot to include this very cute graphic I made yesterday in my message to clients so here it is 🤪
We’ll be out of town and off the grid next week, beginning Labor Day through 9/8. Service will resume as normal on 9/9.
Clients, please reach out ASAP if you are having trouble finding backups. Service needed for this week should be scheduled ASSP - we will not be able to accommodate any last minute requests for this holiday. 🐾🐾
This week, Pawsitive Vibes Only is 3!!! Can you believe it? Because honestly, I can’t. It’s been a wild three years full of adventure, missteps (LOL) and (mostly) the best kind of chaos. Thank you so much to all of our family, clients, friends and followers for the ongoing love and support - we couldn’t do it without you!
☮️❤️🐾
🚨Clients, please refer to your messages for our list of backups and alternate walkers to cover us while we are closed. 🚨
I will be honest that taking a week off after being off of my ankle for almost a month and losing out on a ton of business during the busiest months of the year is…. really uncomfortable for me. But, Bob has been working his ass off, and he is going to need the reset.
Anyway, one more week in the boot for me and then it’s on to the next steps (hopefully quite literally!) ❤️🐾
Today, we are celebrating Mr. Bob’s 38th trip around the sun. It might not be the best birthday he’s ever had - he’s been working 12 hour days in this heat to keep things moving forward while I heal up - but I am feeling eternally grateful to have the love and support of a partner willing to go so many extra miles (literally!) to support our family when the times get pretty tough. He loves his job, his clients, his family and friends so fiercely; we are all really lucky to have him in our lives. If you see him today, give him a high five and popsicle!
Hey Vibes Tribe, friends & family! By now a lot of you have heard the news, but I (Erin) broke my ankle on Sunday night running around with Phantom (FKA Matthew). For someone who is super active, plus with a physically active job who is self-employed, this is just about the worst thing that can happen. I’ll be off my feet for the foreseeable future, but don’t have any info on the timeline yet until I see an orthopedist on Thursday. I’ll keep everyone updated.
We are fortunate that Bob will be able to shoulder the majority of the workload, leaning on our contractors for help when they are available for appropriate clients. However, until we have a better idea of what the future holds, we won’t be able to onboard any new clients. If you are a potential client seeking service, I am happy to provide you with our list of trusted referrals.
Trust me, this is a MAJOR bummer and I am heartbroken. But, this business has weathered Bob’s coma, the loss of two family dogs, the almost-theft of a vehicle, and a lot more so I am sure that eventually this will just be another crazy story to tell.
☮️🖤🐾
🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July! Yay America 🇺🇸 but more importantly, happy birthday to the grandfather of Pawsitive Vibes Only, my dad (pictured here with my parents recently adopted coonhound Max).
Let’s handle some business:
🇺🇸 If your neighborhood is full of people who wished they actually worked in motion picture pyrotechnics and not selling insurance or whatever they do, remember all the safety tips - traz, boom rooms, make sure your chip is up to date, inside after dark (doggy curfew day!), white noise and blanket burritos.
🇺🇸The dog contingency of America would like to remind everyone that sharing hot dogs is actually how ancient tribes were able to domesticate wolves. 👀
🇺🇸 As sensitive dog owners, it’s normal to secretly wish that people who set off fireworks to have loudness contests on these holidays end up with super itchy buttholes for a day or two. We’ll all be friends again when this is over.
🇺🇸 Exercise early! The boy and I are heading out on a hike to wear his ass out. I’m already down one pair of orthopedic shoes to the firework gods.
But, in all seriousness, we hope everyone has a happy and SAFE holiday. 🇺🇸
🚨DANGEROUS TEMPERATURES AHEAD 🚨
Clients, please check your messages from regarding this week’s relentless heat wave. For the safety of both your pups and our walkers, most walks will be shortened to potty breaks with inside enrichment for visits. Feel free to break out the kiddie pools, splash pads and frozen doggie treats! THIS WEEK’S SATURDAY ADVENTURE HIKES ARE CANCELLED, but the visits may be shortened to potty breaks as well. Bob will be in contact with his hiking clients.
Stay cool! 🥵 PS - I also used this post to make everyone listen to my favorite song, “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals. 😁
Today, we had our first adventure day trip with a foster from . This is 4yo Jazz, and he is a city pig which you can tell from his gentle snorgling noises. On our hike today, he was hunting for truffles! He is on the shorter side, but still 66lbs, half of which is in easily in his head. He is a great leash walker, only pulling when he was interested in all the smells. Otherwise, Jazz is a loose-leash king! He loves beef jerky and Beggin’ Strips and enjoys the finer things in life, like vanilla ice cream and laying in the sunshine. He is very people friendly, and wants to meet everyone to say hello with a happy tail and big toothy smile. When we were in the waiting room at the shelter, he met a little girl and immediately flopped on to his back for belly rubs. He was calm and quiet in the car, and fell asleep on our way back from his adventure day. We did not note any dog reactivity, only mild interest when we saw a few dogs from a distance. We hiked for 3 miles, so we would say he is a medium energy guy who probably sometimes likes long walks or a hike but also who enjoys afternoons in the air-conditioning watching movies and eating snacks. Adopt or foster Jazz today!
🇺🇸🐾Hope everyone is enjoying a fantastic holiday weekend!🇺🇸🐾
🐾Normal schedules resume tomorrow morning at 8am.
🐾Current clients, please submit any requests or changes for the week for walks or visits.
🐾We are almost fully booked for overnights through Labor Day. Interested folks should submit overnight requests ASAP.
🐾We still have room for bed & breakfast service through 9/2, and select boarding.
🇺🇸🐾 Have a super pawsitive day! 🇺🇸🐾
Bob & I really appreciate everyone’s well-wishes as we move through this uncertain time with Piglett. It came out of nowhere and to be quite honest, has been incredibly upsetting and stressful. The episodes she is having have been very difficult to diagnose and we have seen five different vets from emergency to cardiopulmonary and neurology in the last week. I am cautiously optimistic about the treatment plan we have been given moving forward. But this post isn’t meant to be about Piglett.
We are out of the house a lot caring for other people’s pets as a part of your care teams, so naturally, we have one of our own. In fact, that is how I met my business partner and my friend who are enlisted to help with our rowdy gal each week. Nicole is a former vet tech, and Victoria has years of professional pet care experience. If it had not been for them trusting their instincts and incredible knowledge of animal behavior, we would not have gotten any videos of the collapses to show Piglett’s doctors to help discern between syncopal episodes or seizures. As such, it’s quite possible we could have been chasing the wrong diagnosis which honestly might have ended very poorly for Piglett.
As pet care professionals working in a wildly unregulated field, we often spend a lot of (unpaid!) time justifying our pricing to folks because hobbyists and other types of care options are available for a fraction of the cost. However, as a pet professional myself, I cannot stress enough how *invaluable* these two women were to assisting us with her situation. Other types of non-professional care might work for younger dogs in perfect health, but as they age, or develop chronic illnesses, it is my belief that seeking a pet professional with experience is worth every single penny and then more. It might even save your dog’s life.
We are so thankful that Piglett seems to be getting back to herself more and more, are doing some trials of a couple of medications to hopefully slow down or stop the episodes, and have follow up appointments booked. We are just as thankful to have Nicole & Victoria on our team helping us keep it pawsitive. ❤️

Well, the weather outside is weather…. ❄️🌨
We’ve got another Winter Weather Advisory in place for tomorrow, 2/13, with potential for a messy morning commute. The forecast remains pretty unclear how and when this storm will impact our part of Philadelphia and exactly what kind of precipitation will be arriving but we just like to stay ahead of any travel disruptions and schedule changes as much as possible.
❄️ Cancellation fees will be waived until the beginning of our business hours (8AM) in the event of late directives from your schools and offices.
❄️ Please make sure to have winter gear, towels or wipes for paws, and anything else needed near your walking items.
❄️ In the event that travel becomes treacherous or walking conditions become dangerous, walks will be abbreviated and invoices adjusted to match.
Let us know if you have any questions! 🥶 and please enjoy this throwback jam.
Today, you are 8! 🎉🥳
In 2016, I was a volunteer for and our landlord had given us the green light to get a dog. We spotted Piglett on the adoptables page, and when I showed her to Bob, he said “That dog looks like Batman!” Three hours later, she was riding in the backseat of our car and we were on the way to Petsmart to make some questionable financial decisions to ensure she had *literally anything she wanted.* And it’s been that way ever since!
Piglett moving in with us is what made us officially a family. I’ll never forget that car ride to Petsmart that day, Bob and I barely being a couple and now we had a dog, the three of us basically looking at each other like 👀 👀 👀. Years later, we laugh and laugh about it because that way the day we decided officially this is it, we are all in. We got married the next year on her “gotcha day.” The next year, Moose would join us. And the rest is history.
In her eight years, Piggy Pie has been to two national parks, countless national forests, hiked in seven states, traversed most of the AT in Pennsylvania, rock climbed in the Lehigh Gap, became a National Bark Ranger, destroyed a million toys, farted in at least five cars, and eaten almost $11 in dollar bills. She’s never met a stranger, but she hates alley cats and feels mostly okay about other dogs as long as they respect her authority. She doesn’t push open doors with her paws; instead, she head butts them like she’s in the WWE, and she patrols our property in such a dedicated, alert fashion that she earned the nickname “Officer Piglett.” She once ran off a bobcat on the trail. She is the self-appointed head of our household, which is hilarious as she does not pay any taxes. Like Piglett would pay the IRS. Ha!
Anyway, happy birthday to our wild girl. We love you more than words can say. 😭 Pets can’t live forever, and that is both the beauty and tragedy of it. But it brings me great joy to know that for the rest of my life I will head butt open every closed door in my way, because that’s what my stubborn headstrong little pittie taught me to do. 💪❤️
❄️ Snow Day FunDay!❄️ Take a pic of your puppers in the snow today and tag us! Win up to one hour of free dog walks 😎 We will gather names and select a winner tonight! 🌨
Weather so nice, we’re doing it twice! (Just kidding that was terrible so here’s hoping 😂)
🐾 Please make sure to have towels or wipes handy for salty or wet paws.
🐾 Please make sure that there is a shoveled or salted area for safe entry to your home.
🐾 We will waive any cancellation fees until our work day begins at 8am in the event of any late calls from local school districts.
🐾 In the event that travel becomes treacherous or walking conditions become dangerous, walks will be abbreviated and invoices adjusted to match.
🐾 Work from home clients: we know a lot of you like to keep your walks even on snow days, and we are happy to oblige! We just ask that there is some flexibility should things get *weird.* Showing up is a big part of our commitment to you all as clients, so if you want us there, we will be there!
❤️ stay safe and have fun!
