Philadelphia is making it clear—we want a ceasefire in Gaza NOW!
Today, the Not Another Bomb movement held a rally at City Hall, along with many other cities across the United States, CAIR, Prayers for Peace Alliance as well as Philadelphia Palestinian Americans joined others Philadelphia based groups to demand an embargo on Israel. Over 3,000 people gathered and marched, advocating for Palestine, an end to the occupation, and a ceasefire. The message was clear: 'No more bombs, stop killing children.' This message was directed at our elected officials, specifically the Democratic Party, to acknowledge that our voices and votes matter. We demand a platform that consistently addresses social justice issues and takes action against the killing of civilians and the starvation of the Palestinian population of over 2 million people. The occupation must end, and our government must stop enabling this violence. The 'No More Bombs' demonstration and march were a collective effort of over 27 organizations advocating for Palestine, united in saying 'enough is enough' and 'no more arms to Israel'.
