Bi-Fold systems are available in a wide number of configurations and sizes and our Design Dictated Manufacturing® guiding principle allows us to manufacture the system to your requirements. From a wide selection of wood species, stile and rail customization, raised panel options and glazing combinations, Caoba Doors has the custom flexibility to meet your design needs.
Bi-Fold systems present a completely flat (in-plane) surface when in the closed position. When open, the panels fold against one another and can be configured to fold in one or both directions. The folded panels project at 90° to the plane of the opening when completely open.

We were delighted to read a recent article called “Into the Woods” written by Marjorie E. Gage and published in “Maine Home + Design” (https://buff.ly/3NoKFYB). The article tells the story of how a young family built a beautiful four-season retreat amid the evergreens.

“Essential to the project’s success are the custom windows used throughout, fabricated by Caoba Doors from sustainably harvested mahogany, a material known for its resiliency in harsh weather. Installing these hardwood beauties, however, was heavy lifting—literally.
First, Parsons and his three-person crew met the delivery truck driver at the nearest main road and transferred the windows from the semitrailer they had been shipped in to vehicles small enough to navigate the dirt drive that led to the construction site. The team hoisted the weighty windows up to the second story with a boom crane.”

A cross between a Double Hung window and a Tilt-Turn window, Caoba’s new Tilt-Turn (faux) Double-Hung was created to meet the demands of the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission and built with the required aesthetic while delivering high-performance ratings demanded for this NYC-Tribeca condo conversion. Reproduced to the exact design and dimensions as the original Double-Hung window built during the 1880s, this faux DH operates as a Tilt-Turn.

Take a look at this beautiful 50 feet long x 10 feet high Lift and Slide door made out of 10 panels with mahogany wood.
Our Lift & Slide systems utilize specialized carriage mechanisms to raise and lower each panel for maximum protection against the elements. In the raised position, even the largest panels roll effortlessly on the tracks. When in the lowered position, the panels engage firmly against the weather stripping for outstanding resistance to air and water infiltration.
