And that's a wrap!

We picked our last block on the property today and this marks the end of our harvest at de Trafford for 2022!

This Old Merlot block is usually the last pick of the season and has a lot of sentimental value as it was planted by David and his dad back in 1983.

Thanks to the whole team for your hard work throughout the season and good luck with the final strech of pressings!

Cheers Harvest 2021!

Our two press bosses, Tao and Busi, have just wrapped up harvest by pressing some stellar Elgin Cabernet Sauvignon!

So far this vintage is shaping up to be one of our best to date in terms of quality, but first the 2021 wines will be going into hibernation to mature in barrel for at least the next 18 months.

We can't wait to see how these fantastic wines evolve with time. Be excited ... Very excited !

Just look at how beautifully our straw wine racks are filling up!

These Chenin grapes will stay on the racks to dry out and concentrate their juice for three weeks before being taken to the cellar to press out the sweet syrup that will become our Straw Wine 2021!

We will be pressing the first batch tomorrow!

The first day of picking for harvest 2021!

And we're starting off with some Chenin that will be packed on our racks and dried out to go into our straw wine! A nice warm up for our harvest to start in earnest on Wednesday!

This one looks like its going to be good!
