Greetings from Caderamen in Puerto Rico. In our archipelago there is a need for birthing centers. The only one is located in the metropolitan area. We are happy about the possibility of having a birth center for our community. Being part of the American Association of Birthing Centers brings us closer to make this possibility or this utopia a reality.
Puerto Rico faces several crises in the provision of perinatal health services. We trust that the support of the AABC will provide Caderamen with tools that allow us to ensure the quality of services, learn about the relevant regulations and legislation, and assure the community that our center is one where best practices and safety are promoted, without leaving aside satisfaction and sensitivity.
