Our Night at the Zoo on Saturday was a huge success! Families with sick children were given an exclusive opportunity to visit the Zoo after hours. Several hundred people joined us for a beautiful night included food, face painting, music, wild animals, and the magic of the Zoo after hours. Thank you to our legacy partner, Eagles Fly for Leukemia, and event sponsors the Bolte Family Foundation, Imagine360 , and the Persinger Cookie Throwdown. One family says, "We just wanted to say thank you for hosting a lovely event tonight. Our kiddos had a great time visiting with the critters without lines or crowds or too much sun. Tonight was the most carefree outing we've had in a long time."

Today we are celebrating a milestone moment for Musa! The 17-year-old and his mom Nadia are from Pakistan and have been staying with us at our Front and Erie House while he receives treatment Shriners Children’s Philadelphia. February is National Children's Dental Health Month, which aims to promote the benefits of good oral health to children, and their caregivers. 🦷 The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, operated in partnership with St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, provides comprehensive and continuous oral healthcare to children in North Philadelphia. It provides an ongoing relationship between the dentist and the patient in a continually accessible, family-centered way. Check out this video to learn more about the Care Mobile!

Meet Brody and Melody! One night during dinner at #RMHCPhilly, Brody went up to Melody and asked if she wanted to be his friend. She said yes, and they began a close friendship that brightened their entire stay! Brody and his family traveled from Trevorton, Pennsylvania and spent 5 months at the House while he underwent treatment for Burkett’s Lymphoma. Melody's family traveled from outside of San Francisco so she could participate in a clinical trial to treat Leukemia. Before they met, both children, normally social and active, struggled with the challenges of being away from kids their own age during long hospital stays. “They talk to each other in their own way, which has even been a good support for them because they could relate on a kid level,” says Melody’s mother, Ashley.
