This is to all of us that have endured the biggest losses. Just because the group was created for dip powder, doesn’t mean it shuns away everything else. I never wanted to become yet another statistic but now, I am 1 in 4.
When i was pregnant (with twins) some of you know the story about my babies and some of you don’t- but we lost our twin at about 31 weeks and I was to carry them both to term and deliver together... it was such a complex feeling to grieve while also celebrating a new life. But I knew deep down things wouldn’t be what they were supposed to be. Even till this day, it hurts that he can’t be here to celebrate victories with his brother. And because of that I try to be more conscious of his emotions, we have an incredibly strong bond, an odd one lol but a good one and I couldn’t be anymore grateful to have him here with me.
Whenever it happened, how it happened- please know, you are not alone.

In addition to shifting public perception, we use this month to spread hope and vital information to people affected by su***de. WE NEED TO DO BETTER! WE NEED TO CHANGE THIS. WE NEED TO STOP THIS.

I hope to remind everyone who may be in pain that you are not alone and can reach out for help at any time— we are all in this together. With this belief, I also aim to promote the need to reach out and check-in on the well being of others.

Anxiety, depression, and grief are now common feelings. We must aim to show up for ourselves and one another.

Please remember, you are not alone in this. We are here for you. 💗

A portion of the proceeds for this trio will be donated to a nonprofit organization focused on su***de prevention 💜

Our world is suffering and feelings of hopelessness abound. These already alarming rates spiked this year due to the impacts of COVID-19.

Individual Impact:
* 78% of all people who die by su***de are male.
* Although more women than men attempt su***de, men are nearly 4x more likely to die by su***de.
* Su***de is the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged 10–34 and the 10th leading cause of death overall in the U.S.
* The overall su***de rate in the U.S. has increased by 35% since 1999.
* 46% of people who die by su***de had a diagnosed mental health condition.
* While nearly half of individuals who die by su***de have a diagnosed mental health condition, research shows that 90% experienced symptoms.
Community Impact:
* Annual prevalence of serious thoughts of su***de, by U.S. demographic group:
* 4.8% of all adults
* 11.8% of young adults aged 18-25
* 18.8% of high school students
* 46.8% of le***an, gay and bisexual high school students
* Le***an, gay and bisexual youth are 4x more likely to attempt su***de than straight youth.
* Transgender adults are nearly 12x more likely to attempt su***de than the general population.
* Su***de is the leading cause of death for people held in local jails.
