Incredible new, vintage blanket feel! Check out the new Ripper from . This season they have elevated their staple button-up with an air of twisted sophistication. The Ripper Shirt in Twisted Plaid is a special Japanese fabric that gives a natty nod to English woolen fabrics. The technique of twisting multiple colors of yarns together before weaving gives a very textured appearance, similar to a tweed fabric. They have retained the fabric’s natural softness by forgoing brushing. Crafted from medium-weight 100% cotton, it’s an ideal choice for a comfortable overshirt during brisk winter days. 🇺🇸

Most recent addition to our stable of awesome American-made companies… Loopwheel constructed tees, since 1932.
History
Established in 1932, a Cincinnati Ohio manufacturer of sweats, t-shirts, jackets and gym shorts for colleges, camps, schools and the United States Armed Forces. Over the years, the company has seen many changes and all had but gone out of business, but we wanted to resurrect the distinctive characteristic style back into the main stream of fashion.
Made in the USA
The original style uses the Blue Label of the 50’s – 60’s. We also have the Yellow Label for items of the 70’s – 80’s. We hope to do justice to the name sake of Velva Sheen Mfg. Co. and bring back the fun and nostalgia of t-shirts past. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Check out our or new link (online and in our bio here) to all the amazing American-made companies we carry. We try to support and carry as many great “made in USA” companies as we can! And we have some great ones!! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 .co le

We love when happy customers send us messages with pics! Got this one today: “Hi Pat and Mary,
I traded in my horse for something more comfortable. Actually, it’s that 50+ y.o. Stetson that has fallen off a few real 4-legged horses, sometimes snatched by the wind and sometimes preceding my head into a pile of manure. Anyway, the boots are great. Thanks!”
Nothing like some historical pictures to get you ready for fall fashion.

BIRDIE STORIES: “THE IDENTIFYING SYMBOL OF MY HEROES.” BY TIFFER VALENTE
Growing up on the east coast, my summers were spent in Saltaire, Fire Island. As early as I can remember Birdies or “trou,” as they were affectionately called, were these mystical things that I knew only to exist in the color red, and worn by our local lifeguard crew. Season after season even as the guards would change the trou remained the same - Birdwell’s were the identifying symbol of my heroes. When I was finally of age to be a lifeguard, I remember my excitement standing outside the office as our chief lifeguard went inside to get me and another trainee guard our new uniforms. With anticipation rivaling Ralphie from A Christmas Story, I stood waiting to be given my first ever pair of Birdwell’s. He quickly reappeared and tossed me a pair of Richard Simmons-esqe, musty red nylon 80s running shorts and says, “once you pass the test, then you get the Birdwell’s...” Fast-forward 16 years (and counting), many passed-tests, and three well-loved pairs of red Birdies, that chief lifeguard has become a mentor and close friend. The lifeguard crew I would come to know are now lifelong friends. I have shared the stand, and Birdwell’s, with both of my brothers. I have memories that will last a lifetime. I have come to know the Birdwell brand and admire all that it stands for.
Most of all, I learned that the best things in life are earned, not given. As such, a pair of red Birdwell’s will forever evoke a deep emotion within me. I grew up with them hanging off my hips. I wore them as I learned how to push myself further than I ever thought possible. I learned what it means to serve your community, to be accountable to yourself and others. Among our little lifeguard crew, Birdwell’s are the unifying symbol. When I see them I feel an immediate connection and a sense of belonging to something bigger than myself. They are the thread that sows together generations, those who came before us and those who are still to come. Those who might never have otherwise crossed paths in life, but upon seeing that pair of red Birdwell’s they know they share an immediate bond with each other. 🇺🇸
Double RL. Enough said.

Brands with a history and a story…that is what we aim to be in you at Cave + Post. Founded in 1919, the Adler factory builds on four generations of knowhow to produce world class axes—Made in Germany.
The cornerstone of today’s company was laid by Josef Schmitt when he founded a small village blacksmith shop in 1919 in southern Germany. His intuition and hand-on approach resulted in steel formed and hardened in a perfect manner. All aspects of axe creation were to his high-quality standards. Our axes today are fabricated with the same passion, exactness and high quality standards that our founder committed the company to 100 years ago.
Some important milestones for us over the last few years include the opening of our water-based paint facility in 2004 and our automatic drying kiln in 2006. We are also proud that wood waste is used to generate the energy (up to 700KW) that runs our factory. The newest generation of the Schmitt family are committed to modernizing the factory to meet state-of-the-art sustainability and production standards, while never losing sight of the heritage that makes Adler unique.
Our factory is located in the town of Waghäusel, Germany. Our home is close to the Rhine River in Baden-Würtemberg, just south of the city of Heidelberg.
All of our axes contain the “JSW” mark. The “JS” are for Josef Schmitt, the founder of our company. The “W” stands for the small village of Wiesental which is located just south of the current factory location in Waghäusel.
