DISGRACEFUL. Yesterday, Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers attacked my clients, the police and fire fighter unions, in a press conference. Today, this gasbag shows up at a union car wash to benefit Sgt. Kent Livingston - shot in the line of duty - to which he was not invited. Even worse, HE IS PRETENDING TO HOST, shaking hands and introducing himself to residents as they pull in. Let me be clear. Mayor Weiers has done less than nothing to support Glendale cops and fire fighters or residents who care about public safety.
Hereās Julie Pendergast, President of the Glendale FOP, talking about the car wash to benefit wounded police Sgt. Kent Livingston, who was shot in the line of duty. The all-volunteer car wash is today at Cabelaās, 9380 W. Glendale Avenue from 8 am to 3 pm. It features food sales, donation opportunities and sales of a special āLiving Strongā T-shirt to benefit Sgt. Livingstonās family and aid in his recovery expenses. Hope we see you there!
