Who here has tried this? 🙋‍♀️

Did you know that something as simple as your left nostril could hold the key to calming panic?

It might sound surprising, but hear me out...

When anxiety starts to kick in, try this little trick: focus on breathing exclusively through your left nostril.

It's more powerful than you think.

Clinical trials have shown that left nostril breathing can actually dial down your body's fight-or-flight response 🤯

And here's a bonus tip: give four-count left nostril breathing a go.

Inhale through the left nostril for four counts, hold at the top for four counts, then exhale through the left nostril for four counts. Repeat this cycle, and feel the calming effects wash over you.

It's incredible how something as simple as mindful breathing can make such a big difference in managing anxiety, isn't it?

So, next time you feel panic creeping in, remember the power of your breath—it's right there, waiting to help you reclaim your calm and find your center.

If you've tried this, let me know what you think in the comments! 💕

Histamine has a big connection with panic/anxiety.

Isn't that wild?!

This occurs when our bodies struggle to process histamine properly, leading to a range of symptoms that can really throw us off balance.

Histamine is a natural chemical in our bodies, acting as both a hormone and a neurotransmitter.

It's involved in everything from our immune response to our digestive health.

Yet, when there's too much histamine or our bodies can't break it down effectively, we run into issues.

Histamine is found in various foods and drinks, like aged cheeses as well as alcoholic beverages.

And while this is important to take a look at, it's not just what we consume—our body's own production of histamine can also play a role.

So, how to diagnose this?

To help pinpoint histamine intolerance you can try elimination diets or even get blood and urine tests done.

While there's no one-size-fits-all approach, a combination of medical history and symptom assessment usually does the trick.

Curious to learn more about testing and find the right approach for you?

Inside the Holistic Wellness Collective we break down this topic further and as always, you'll have the chance to join a live Q&A to ask questions!

I’m going to throw a curveball at you...

📚Here's a story you might not have heard...

The term adrenal fatigue came into popularity in the 1990s when Chiropractor James L. Wilson observed a cluster of symptoms in his patients.

He theorized that constant stress (emotional, or physical) puts pressure on the adrenal glands, whose job is in part to respond to stress by producing the stress hormone, cortisol.

He states that the adrenal glands get burnt out causing a decrease in adrenal hormone production.

❗However, there is no evidence that this happens❗

In fact, the evidence actually points to the contrary...

Your adrenals make MORE cortisol under stress....

❌Not less ❌

This is why it is CRUCIAL to figure out what is actually going on in the body!

So, let me say it again... it is extremely unlikely that your adrenals are failing...

What might be happening is that these symptoms may be due to a myriad of other issues that are more likely to be contributing to your symptoms, and can (but not necessarily) impact your adrenal glands.

🌟 Let me share a story about my friend Charlotte...

Years ago, she battled severe anxiety, only to be told by doctors, "It's all in your head."

Despite trying various treatments, her anxiety persisted, accompanied by troubling physical symptoms.

But Charlotte's resilience led her to seek answers, and finally, she discovered the root cause: Grave's Thyroiditis.

Endocrine Anxiety—a term she coined—stemmed from an imbalance in her endocrine system.

The glands within this system, like the thyroid and adrenals, play a vital role in hormone regulation and overall well-being.

Here's the uplifting part:

Once Charlotte pinpointed the root cause, she could treat it directly.

Not only did her anxiety improve, but so did her thyroid health.

No thyroid removal necessary!!

—just a journey of understanding and healing.

Does Charlotte's journey resonate with you? 🤔

The meaning we attach to our emotions can make all the difference.

Think about it like this: when you're gearing up for a sporting event, those jitters you feel—are they anxiety, or simply excitement?

In this episode we take an even deeper dive to explore the signs and symptoms of anxiety, and uncover the missing sense of power that often accompanies it.

Imagine this: instead of being overwhelmed by anxiety, what if you could harness that energy to fuel your passions and pursuits?

We'll guide you through practical strategies, from simply taking a moment to rest and listen to your body, to engaging in a dialogue with your inner self.

By asking the right questions and dissecting what's truly going on beneath the surface, you'll discover newfound clarity and confidence.

We want to empower you to redefine your relationship with anxiety, transforming it from a stumbling block into a stepping stone on your path to a more fulfilling life.

Knowing the cause can help you to combat it.

Out of this list, can you identify the cause(s) of your racing thoughts?

⭐️ Avoiding anxiety won't make it disappear.

In fact, suppressing it can lead to a buildup that only makes things feel worse.

That's why it's crucial to address it head-on, speaking directly to the anxious mind.

By acknowledging anxiety for what it is—overactive thoughts—we can begin to retrain the brain.

Personally, I find comfort in reminding myself: "These are thoughts and NOT reality." 🌟

How about you? How do you speak to your anxious mind? Share your strategies in the comments below!

Let's support each other on this journey to reclaiming peace of mind. 💖
