Houston we have a root problem🤣, talk about a long evening this simple clog drained turned into us digging up pipe in front yard, then while trying to clear the line the drain snake made a impossible 90 degree turn, up a 2 inch drain pipe and busted it out in the house next to us😬. First of all both houses in the same drain running out to the road is nuts, secondly how?😵. So his sketchy plumbing that was literally taped together got repaired on us as well as his basement cleaned.
Iv been doing this for a while as you know and never have I came across who house that shared a drain out to the sewer. Nor have I ever got the sneak to make it thru a 2 inch vent 90 or a p trap. But we messed it up so we fixed it.
Oh you know just turning this commercial bathroom into a residential. Had to love the door although would have been cool as an access door, bust up a little concrete lay some pipe, if you know what I mean😉. Pressure tested of course, installed water lines and concreted like it neverish happened
Also in a decade of business why am I the only one who Iv ever seen concrete the p trap hole? If you have a slab I guarantee it’s just a hole 🤷♂️
Well we finished up this pool deck. Took a little longer than expected since we are a maintenance company first. so a lot of days would be around normal service calls and I can not stress enough how wonderful this customer is with understanding that.
A little sneak peak🫣
I want you to name one other company that 1st will answer the phone at 1030 at night and 2nd be there, we’ll wait. With in a hour of the call we resolved the issue.
I’ll take what’s clogging the drain for 1000 Alex…..😂 Iv pulled just about anything you can imagine out of drains
For a company that doesn’t work on hvac we sure have been doing alot of them🤣 we’re 3 for 3 this week
Original schedule for today:
-pull measurements for materials
-Snake a drain
-start demo on another project
Actual schedule
-pulled measurements for materials
-snaked a completely different drain
-replaced hotwater tank
-snaked the original drain
-installed light, cat door, removed awning
-repaired roll up garage door
-patch roof
-moved dirt
Yeah I’d say been somewhat of a busy day currently dropping equipment off on job site

Yeah we do that too
Uninstalled 3 single units and installed 3 double units; side note the double units weigh about 690🫣 we had to lay them on their side to get them into the building.
Anyways removed, hole modified, new ones set, plumbed, vented, and electric hooked up in one work day
Start an argument with a statement I’ll go first, and yes we woke up and chose violence 🤣
If your plumber pre-primes all his pipe, then lets it dry before glueing then he’s either lazy or not a plumber. If the primer was meant to be dry before applying glue then the pipe would come pre primed
That said no it probably won’t fail, but last night on a job that a very large company preformed I watched them prime pipe then take measurements then smoke, then glue
I said I don’t want to tell you how to do your job but that primer is supposed to be wet/tacky and since your here redoing work for the second time that caused my client hundreds if not thousands of dollars i think that maybe you should do this one by the book.
Anthony over at Tonka Toy Fabworks made a awesome repair for us on one of our customers mower decks. We dropped it off this morning and he had it ready to go same day Thank you Anthony
Honestly I hardly post anything work related anymore because most of it is just repair work, usually asked to be done as cheap as possible for example I was giving a few boxes of open used things and asked to make it look halfway decent. Never mind the whole bathroom was 2 inches out of square, so this is as right as the budget would allow 🤷♂️
A little before and after pics of the finished product.
Now that said I would never lie to you guys so I have to tell you that this job was a disaster. I told them 2 days start to finish and well 2 weeks later and 2200 out of my pocket we finally got it right.
I have never been ashamed of a product in my life but I’ll tell you right now the first time around wouldn’t be good enough for a dog box.
we could make all kinds of excuses from the crappy sanders we rented, to the bad batch of stain but at the end of the day it all falls back on me and we did everything we could to make it right. So a shout out to the home owner who while aggravated never once was rude or doubted us.
I’ll never forget the moment I saw the first finished product I had created, I shut down I have never in 8 years of operation felt heart break over a project but I just couldn’t believe something I had done turned out so ugly. It was at that point the money no longer mattered I would have spent ever dime I had to make it right.
Being a professional doesn’t exempt you from making mistakes but doing it until it’s right makes you a professional.
It’s ”flushable” is what keeps us in business. I reckon anything’s flushable but if you really don’t believe me go out one in a bowl of water. Come back next month it’ll still be there
Someone was about to have a very bad day. I cannot stress this enough if a breaker trips/flips off more then once leave it off and call someone who’s trained properly.
A Little sneak peak before stain and clear 🤫
I cannot stress this enough stop using space heaters as your primary heat. Most space heaters rated for 1500watts are pulling 12.5 amps which is well under the 20amp rating most homes are wired with however if anything else is on that circuit guess what now your at or exceeding amp limits and the wire itself will heat up in this case the breaker didn’t trip it before melting the weakest point in the line. These people are extremely lucky because not only did it over heat and melt but that junction box was not up to code and was inside a closed wall with no access and no lid. space heats will and are trying to kill you/burn down you’re home. please use extreme caution or have another circuit dedicated to it
It wouldn’t be fair if we didn’t post the bad with the good had a customer reach out to me cause during that wind storm her fence sorta blew over. technically it’s not our fault but at the same time I often try to over engineer my finished product so when things like this happen I can say guess who’s dodnt blow over. However this time I can’t say that😬, and even tho it was a act of nature we are are going to cover this under the warranty because Cody is a great customer. Today was just brace day until we can get some good weather
