Reminder that the giant eagle mobile market will be at the honor roll park on Thursdays from 10:30am-12:00pm. Someone will be there to hand out coupons. The mobile market is open to anyone from anywhere!
Due to a very large water main break, please avoid the area of 3rd Street and Erie Avenue. The water company will be continuing to work on this repair into next week.

Due to the conditions at the river, the fishing contest scheduled for July 14th has been postponed until further notice. The borough will continue to monitor the area to schedule for a later date. Thank you for your patience.
There will be someone going door to door selling Kirby vacuum cleaners. He has been made aware that the hours for this, according to our ordinance, are Mondary - Friday from 9:00 - 5:00 (summer hours).

All Glassport Borough meetings will be held at 12 Monongahela Avenue (The old Tube City building) beginning June 11th which is the Borough Workshop meeting. Please enter the building from the main entrance on the Monongahela Avenue side and follow the hallway back to Council Chambers.
Glassport Borough code enforcement is going street by street documenting violations and sending letters and or citations. If you receive a letter in the mail please comply within the timeframe listed or you will be cited. Remember the weeds and grass on your sidewalk between the street and your property is your responsibility . You must also cut and trim that as well. Also, any, and all garbage on the property must be cleaned up and removed. Vehicles that are not inspected or registered will be tagged and given 10 days to be removed or fixed before they will be towed. Glassport honored our junior council person in her final meeting last night. She was recognized through the borough, House of Representatives Nick Pisciottano office and the PA state association of boroughs. Congratulations, we cannot wait to see what great things you are going to accomplish in your future.

Dumpsters will be located at 6th and Allegheny. Dumpsters will have a list of items not allowed to be thrown into them such as paint, batteries, tires, etc

Valley Clean Air Now, is giving air purifiers away to residents in Glassport, Liberty Borough, Lincoln, Port Vue and the City of Clairton. The location is the Glassport American Legion today from 4:00 - 9:00pm. While supplies last.
Glassport Scrap will have a dumpster available for ferrous and non ferrous metals located across from family dollar near Dr. Choi’s building for cleanup day on April 27th. The flyer will have a list of items not allowed in the dumpster.

Glassport Borough office is close to being moved into our new location at 12 Monongahela Avenue. The office staff will be at the new building moving forward. The payment box at the previous location can still be used for residents to drop of payments and forms as this will continue to be monitored for a few more weeks. For your convenience, there is a drop-off box located at the front of the new building where the double glass doors are. Signs will be posted to make this transition as smooth as possible for our residents. Once the renovations are completed for the Borough office phase of the new facility, there will be an Open House. There will be advanced notice prior to the event. Again, thank you for your patience, cooperation and understanding.
Glassport Borough will begin street sweeping on Thursday, April 18th. Thursdays will be the even side of Monongahela Avenue along with the odd side of North Monongahela Avenue. Fridays will be the odd side of Monongahela Avenue along with the even side of North Monongahela Avenue.
The Borough office will be moving to 12 Monongahela Avenue (The old Tube City building) over the next few days. There will be a period of time when phones and internet are down on April 16th during the transition. We ask for your patience and cooperation over the next few weeks while the office gets settled in. Thank you from Glassport Mayor, Council, and Staff.
The 9th street park (swimming pool area) will be closed until further notice due to the repeated use of people not cleaning up after their dogs. For future reference, this is not a dog park.
