Things have been crazy here. I had surgery and just recently went back to work. I'm sorry it's been awhile since a update. Babies are doing great. 2 months old today most are about 2 inches give or take and eating chopped blackworms. Here's some photos.
Babies are 25 days old. Have 82 healthy babies. Recently had surgery so I'm a little behind on updates. Tmrw I will be separating these guys based on size.
Day 22 of babies. Doing well. 87 alive and healthy babies at this point

Axolotl baby update..11 days old and guess what? These babies are developing their front leg buds.. look at the clearish/white nubs the arrows are pointing at in the photos in the comments.. yay!!

Axolotl babies are 10 days old today and looking good. Will be ready to go by April 17th. $20 each. I need to start lining up homes for them. I prefer pickup in Pittsfield, MA but might be willing to ship in surrounding states. Message me if interested. Please share this as well
Quick update. Days 9 with hatchlings. Got moved to a bigger container tonight. Yay sterilite.
Had to share with all of you. I have been waiting to start the babies on a new food because when I got all the daphnia they were adults and too big to feed but they have been breeding and making small babies.. so today is the day I have placed small daphnia in the containers. They are so cute learning how to hunt. The daphnia move around another more than the microworms.. so they have to learn how to stalk and catch.
Day 10 post laid axolotl eggs. Sorry for the late update guys. I was busy tonight(watch the video to find out why)

Axolotl egg update from tonight. 9 days post laid. 118 all together.. 2 hatchling. Also got a new phone so am able to get clearer photos of the babies in the eggs. Remind you this is extremely zoomed photos. Look at these cuties.
After I did the 8 day update I realized I had my first hatchling. Little guy/girl is a bit spooked not having the egg to protect him/her.

So my axolotls were at it again. Around same time last year I had a batch. I kept alot more babies this year. Will be looking for homes if they survive in about 3 months. Mom is a melanoid and dad is a golden.

So the babies hit 2 weeks old today and that means separation time. At 2 weeks they start to bud their front legs and become cannibalistic which is awful. Luckily they can regenerate body parts but i still don't want any accidents. This is only a issue with babies. Adults will not do this unless they are starving. Also here is a small clip of me feeding them.
