FASCIA holds EMOTIONAL MEMORY. It is like your energetic super highway.

When you internalize emotions you experience, it slowly finds its way deeper into the fascial system and stores in the body. This could be a component as to why are you are experiencing some physical pain or mental ailment.

The fascia in your body will organize itself depending on how you physically use your body, the energy(thoughts/emotions) you hold onto, and the thought patterns you have. An individual’s fascial posturing will tell you many things about a person and is a piece of how you can profile someone and know where they are holding blockages.

Our thoughts and feelings carry a lot of electric charge (energy) and where attention goes (thought and feelings), energy flows! So any thought and any emotion that we experience, that information travels through the fiber optic network (our fascia).

It’s time to start creating the bridge between Western medicine’s myofascial theory and Eastern medicine’s meridians and chakras.

Humans are energetic beings. The fascia is what carries that energy through our bodies and literally connects, surrounds, and runs through everything. This is why it is so powerful.

I believe in the healing that occurs when we start to understand the way the body works from a fascial perspective. But once you layer on the energetic piece, it opens up so much more possibility for your body.

It was understanding Western and Eastern perspectives, understanding the energy and how the fascia will carry and keep that energy, that freed me from chronic pain. I had to release the stagnant energy and trauma. When I did, it resulted in physical healing (after many, many surgeries and years in rehabilitative care).

Pay attention to how your body moves. Old energy (especially trauma) will take more time to release. Elevate and expand your mind to understand the amazing system that contributes to vast amount of who you are.

This first image highlights the muscles but it’s the lymph nodes (in yellow) that stand out to me. I’m always trying to explain in Manual Lymphatic Drainage sessions why I begin by working regions that may seem unrelated to the swelling the patient is experiencing.

Opening and activating the main lymph node sites first (in the upper thoracic region, axilla, inguinal) gives the backed up fluid space to flow. Almost as if there was a crash on the freeway and you’re stuck in traffic - we would need to clear out the crash before the traffic can move.

The less obvious approach actually addresses the root of the symptom. Trust the process.

The subtle inner workings of the human body are endlessly fascinating. I’m so passionate about this powerful modality.

Reiki: Universal love and life force energy channeled through the practitioner’s hands to the recipient. The guiding of this energy promotes balance and healing through 7 chakras in the body. The charts below demonstrate some of the conditions that may manifest when chakras are blocked.

To reference a more Western view - presence and holding space from one energetic being to another encourages the potential for self healing. It also downshifts the sympathetic (fight or flight, stress mode) nervous system and strengthens the parasympathetic (rest and restore mode).

You may feel a sense of calm and peace, possibly warmth or tingling. This modality is great for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and by extension, physical ailments. I often incorporate sounds, incense and crystals to enhance the experience.

Reflexology: Reflex points on the feet and hands are linked to systems and regions throughout the body. If you prefer physical pressure more in line with the feeling of traditional massage, this is the way to go. Reflexology feels amazing.

Hand poured candles are now available in my office (as well as in the store Holly-wood Decorative Creations in Webster)

They all have different meanings and scents and are adorned with crystals and herbs that reflect their intentions.

The large candles are named “Love” and Jyoti”
Jyoti is Sanskrit word meaning Inner/Divine light

The teal jar you see at the bottom is called “Abundance” and the little white one is “Courage.”

Love contains rose petals, rose quartz and a little bottle - you can place a small message for a loved one inside. Jyoti has iridescent Angel wings and ocean themes (your own divine light is just as powerful and sacred). Abundance has an eclectic mixture of crystals and items, this candle is the most varied. Courage has dried oranges and grounding crystals that represent luck, protection and confidence.

These are all really special to me, and a lot of thought and love went into making each one. The heart of my practice is comprised of these manifestations. I hope that my clients feel it too.

I’ve been working on developing and perfecting this candle line for a few months. Take home a little reminder of our time together and the energy of my studio, next time you visit! ✨
