El Dorado Training Facility

Fun fact! Melissa is a certified co-leader of the local 4H Horseless Project! Meetings are 1x a month at her or her co-leader’s facility. This is a great opportunity to learn, have hands-on experience, ride and have fun with horses! Fun activities, community service, field trips and more are included! No horse required to join! Ages 9 and up for this program. Please contact your local 4H office or https://ucanr.edu/sites/EDC_4-H_Program/ to sign up! Our club is the Motherlode 49ers, but all clubs are welcome!

🌟Sophia and I did great at the NATRC ride yesterday. The 2 horses were very good and happy to be out. I got 1st in my division and over all and Sophia got 2nd in her junior division. The ride was fun and put together very well!🌟

Had a great ride at Cooley Ranch this weekend. I got my 3,000 lifetime mile completion. Adrienne did a really good job with my mare Willow. Willow is 25!

Just got a horse back that I leased out for years to a customer…My Vet and Farrier came together and did an awesome job! It's really nice when you have a team that works together. Here are some before and after pictures. Can't wait to see this horse’s future!

🌟Update on WMA Mustang Sally🌟

WMA Mustang Sally. I'm so excited about her She has been a real challenge from the beginning. I've been taking her off and on to Mark for lessons. She is a little naughty to ride and very quick on her feet. I've been doing a lot of ground driving So that my aides will be there once she decides to leap in the air. I have sat on her now and asked her to walk forward a handful of times and she has been good. Cassidy will help me with her this weekend and hopefully I can get pictures of her or me on her mounted.

Very proud of these 2 customers. Todd's doing awesome with his Mustang especially after Mustang Matt's clinic. The other horse is a 25 year old rescue horse from Colorado. He was super head shy When he came to me a year ago. Now she's going to be putting her 1st rides on him.

👉Very proud of my two horses. The season did not start off very well as they both had it go down to UC Davis. Mandy was diagnosed with pssm type 2 and solar's colon was enlarged and had to be put on steroids. Mandy's Joy started the season for me because she was easier to manage and she gave solar time to heal. Solar finished the season and his 14th year competing.
