Beautiful, sweet, silly, and connected. It melted my heart. This amazing mama was my nurse during my last moments of preterm labor with Elijah. She was an angel who knew what I needed before I realized it myself. I thank God she was the one on shift the day Eli made his entrance. I’ll never forget the moment in the OR when she helped me sit up after being on my back for four and a half days straight and let me rest my forehead against hers while the anesthesiologist administered the spinal.

I love you, Michelle 🌷 Thank you for letting me capture your beautiful family.

🗣 PSA: Mother’s Day is TOMORROW! Here are a few ideas to make her feel loved this weekend.

📝 Write her a list of why you appreciate her and tell her how grateful you are for her and all she does for the family.

💆🏼‍♀️Treat her to a massage or mani/pedi.

⌛️Take the kids and give her time to do WHATEVER she wants for at least an hour (or more!)

👨🏻‍🍳 Make her favorite meal.

💋 Give her a big hug and kiss and say “I love you” — it’s the little things.

🌸 Flowers are always a good idea!

This gorgeous lady was one of my exceptional antepartum labor & delivery nurses for part of the 4 1/2 days leading up to Elijah’s premature birth. Now she’s a friend. And she just earned her MSN and is studying for NP board certification! 👩🏼‍⚕️🎉🎓

I was honored when she asked me to take her portraits for this milestone, and I’m forever in awe of how God intertwines lives. So thankful I met this beautiful soul. ✨

🎀 Brooklyn’s first birthday cake smash is hitting me hard today as my little guy turns one in less than a month.

Sitting here in my feelings, reflecting on how unaware I was a year ago. Unaware that early on Feb 13th I would be rushed to the hospital via ambulance. Unaware that I would lay in a hospital bed for 4.5 days in the most uncomfortable position to try and stay pregnant. Unaware that Eli would make his appearance 16 weeks early.

How grateful I am that I was oblivious to the journey ahead. We took it one uncertain day at a time, and God has woven a beautiful story out of what looked like such a tangled mess. 💗

This little polar bear turned 11 months old today! 🐻‍❄️
