What a great event and what an even more amazing cause. This years Memorial Day ride and picnic with the was incredible. We set up shop here at their picnic and gave them a little taste of what we do in the sports recovery world.

🔥 Squat Therapy. 🔥
Tip 1
Ankle mobility is one of the key elements to the squat. It will allow the athlete, lifter, crossfitter or any walk of life to get into optimal positioning. If ankle mobility is poor the knee will not be able to track over the foot comfortably or without the heels raising off the ground forcing the lifter onto their toes.
When the squatter descends their knees need to track over the toes. This creates room for the pelvis to sit in between your hips causing proper posterior chain engagement and the torso to be upright.
is demonstrating one of his favorite ankle mobility exercises. This can also be done with a dumbbell or kettle bell. Do you want to get into a deep squat position and have the weight on the thigh directly above the kneecap but not resting on it. Rock back-and-forth allowing the weight to help your knee transition over your pinky toe. If you find a good spot then camp out there for a bit. Have fun

Practice what you preach.
Time spent during recovery allows muscle tissue to replenish needed nutrients and mend damaged tissue. It also allows time for mental recovery. An athlete who is well-rested will have more energy and better focus.
Life has its ups and downs. It’s called squatting. Everyone should do it as long as it’s done correctly.

Frustration is part of the process. The key is to channel frustration to facilitate your own process. If you have a fence and one of the boards is broken, you should not reinforce the intact boards. You fix the broken one. This applies to all aspects of life.
