Today at Good Morning Anderson we welcomed back the Class of 2024. Mrs. Jackson shared a quote by Nelson Henderson “The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.”
As you venture out into this big world - plant trees for others and know that Anderson Nation is cheering for you and loving you from afar. We are so proud of you, Class of 2024.
Tonight one of our talented 5th grade students won the PGA Coaching Center / FISD Mural Project contest. Entries from across the district (and in all grades K-12) were submitted. Annie’s art will become a mural at the PGA Coaching Center for the next two years. We are so proud of you, Annie. And a huge thank you to our fabulous art teacher, Ms Jones, for inspiring our young artists each day!
The Anderson Nation Library has been filled with special visitors all week long. Mrs. Littlejohn has helped us all celebrate National Children’s Book Week. We are so thankful for a librarian that makes reading fun for all our readers!
The First Graders at Anderson Nation have some new fluffy friends. The baby chicks have arrived and are the sweetest ever!

In science today, the 5th graders tested the boats they created with a pre-determined materials list. Students collaborated with their groups to think critically to build a boat from a plan. Such a neat morning seeing them celebrate each other’s creations!
Yesterday we had some very special Liberty High School athletes visit Anderson. Our students love guest readers and love LHS!
Mrs. Iske’s friends in Kindergarten published a book! Each student researched, wrote and illustrated their own animal page.
What a fun day in 2nd grade! Students had their economic fair today and it was neat to see them putting their financial literacy learning in action.

We are so thankful for our partnership with Liberty High School. Today, the cheerleaders and part of the band came to get us pumped up for testing next week. And yesterday, student council came to read to some of students. We ❤️ the Redhawks!

Anderson Nation had a “totality” amazing day preparing for and watching the Solar Eclipse! There was top notch engagement in each classroom and the students loved experiencing science right in front of their “glasses”! This is a day the students will never forget!😎❤️
