The interior finishes of the new space embody contrast. Shaker-style cabinets painted Tricorn Black create contrast against the white subway tile backsplash and polished quartz countertops. The built-in breakfast nook bench painted Shoji White cleverly covers the baseboard radiators while the metal wire mesh inserts still allow for airflow. The brass mesh inserts and satin brass hardware create a mixed metal moment with the stainless steel Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances.

Meet the newest addition to our team: Lynn Palmquist! Despite coming from a family of architects, decorators, and cooks, her path to kitchen and bath design wasn't a straight one. After 20 years in TV, Lynn attended Century College for Kitchen and Bath Design and truly found her passion.
Understanding her clients' specific needs is the cornerstone of Lynn's design process. She strongly believes that a home should be tailored to support everyday life. Shoe storage is not something we typically think about when designing a kitchen, but in this case it made sense. With an exterior door the homeowners use frequently to take the dogs outside, they wanted a convenient spot to store shoes. Because no one likes tripping over shoes when they walk in the door.

With organics disposal becoming more popular in the Twin Cities we were so excited to put together this custom, three-bin trash pullout for our clients! The two smaller bins for trash and organics even have lids to control odor and prevent fruit flies. The larger bin is for recycling as that tends to fill up pretty quickly. Fun fact: you may have heard that most of what you recycle doesn't end up getting recycled, but that is actually not true for Minnesota! ♻️💙

The overall layout of this 1950's kitchen didn't change much, but the pantry and baking center on the refrigerator wall are new features that added much needed storage. The main living area, however, did go through some major changes.

When these homeowners came to us to renovate their kitchen, their goals were to create an updated space with a design inspired by Joanna Gaines and her signature farmhouse style. To achieve their functional needs, designer Danee reconfigured the layout of the kitchen into an efficient work triangle that allows the family to prepare meals, cook, and clean up with ease. In addition, the refrigerator was relocated to add more space for pantry storage.
Danee combined Linen and Dorian Grey finishes on White Oak glass-front cabinetry to achieve a look that is both rustic and modern. The blend of farmhouse influence and the client’s unique style created a space that is both on trend and timeless. https://studiom-kb.com/rustic-modern-kitchen-2/
