The address for the car show and BBQ at Elegant Assisted Living is 1240 snowbird. June 1st, tomorrow! It’s right across the street from the new condos by the old Allstate building, food should be ready around 11. Hope to see you all tomorrow! This event is free!

Regarding our classic and muscle car show June 1st @ 11:00 AM. - 4:00 PM. Cars show up at 10:00 AM!

THIS Saturday!!!!! This is a free event. Till food lasts!

The fridge is currently stuffed with chicken, ribs and BBQ sauce!! We’re marinating all of it tonight so the flavor gets soaked in for a couple days. I think we could fit around 40 cars give or take a few extras, about 20 in the main parking lot.

Thank you everyone in advance for your participation in this event, the residents and their families are super excited for Saturday! I'm hoping to have all the BBQs and equipment ready and set up Friday night so we can start grilling at 9 and hopefully have some food ready by 11 or 12.

Feel free to bring a side dish if you want to, totally not required but encouraged... variety is the spice of life!!

Feel free to bring the kids with you, they're going to have various games set up, a cotton candy machine up and running, a soda station with all the flavors and of course music to add to the awesome atmosphere and vibe we'll be having!

Again thank you all in advance for your participation to make the residents and their families day and provide them with a great fun day and awesome memories!!! Hope to see you all there this Saturday!!!!

Last year was totally awesome, the residents and their families had so much fun, we’re hoping to recreate that same vibe/atmosphere with more cars this year!

We had quite a few awesome rides show up last year. We could probably fit around 30/50 cars around the street and the parking lot.

Please come out and make this a memorable day for the residents and their families and hang out with some cool people, awesome rides and eat some chicken and ribs that are tolerable on the palate!!!

Med Tech/Caregiver/Resident Assistant/Personal Care Attendant

As a Medication Technician, you play a vital role in the healthcare industry by assisting medical professionals in the administration of medication to patients. You are responsible for ensuring that our residents receive the correct medication, in the right dosage, and at the scheduled time.

Job Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Med Technician or similar role.
Certification to work as a med tech.
Distributing prescribed medications in a safe and timely manner.
Documenting administration of meds.
Observing residents for any adverse reactions.

Typical Duties and Tasks of a Medication Technician
Your day-to-day responsibilities include the following:
• Administering medication to patients in accordance with their care plan.
• Monitoring and recording patients’ symptoms and vital signs.
• Reporting and documenting any changes in patients’ conditions to medical professionals.
• Ensuring proper handling and storage of medication
• Organizing medication carts, as needed.
• Notifying Med Lead of any issues with prescriptions. Refills, Med Changes, Med Errors, Etc.
Additionally, you will also be called on to assist with other duties, such as helping patients with activities of daily living or providing emotional support.

Documentation and Record Keeping
As a Medication Technician, you are expected to adhere to strict policy and procedure guidelines for documentation and record keeping. Accurate and detailed documentation is essential to ensure that patients receive the correct medication, at the right time and dosage, and to avoid potential medication errors.
You will be responsible for recording medication administration in the patient’s medical record and maintaining medication administration records throughout the residents stay.

Communication with the Resident and Families
As a Medication Technician, you provide a critical link between residents, their families, and medical professionals. Clear and effective communication is essential to ensure that patients fully understand their medication regimen and to address any concerns or questions that may arise.
You will be expected to communicate with residents (and sometimes families) in a compassionate and respectful manner, taking the time to listen attentively and provide the support they need.

Working as a Medication Technician can be a challenging but rewarding career. By following strict policies and procedures for documentation, record keeping, and communication, you play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of your patients.

Skills and Qualities
A Medication Technician is responsible for dispensing and administering medications to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse or physician. The job requires a unique combination of technical competence and communication skills. Here are some of the essential skills for Medication Technicians:

• Medical Knowledge – A understanding of medical terminology, drug categories, dosage calculation, and administration routes.
• Attention to Detail – Must be detail-oriented and ensure all medication is accurately administered and documented.
• Time Management – Ability to administer medications efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and coworkers.
• Computer Competence – Familiarity with medical software and electronic medical records.

In addition to technical competencies, successful Medication Technicians possess a variety of personal qualities:
