40 days of commitment to myself 🫶
This sadhana (daily spiritual practice) is something I promised myself I would commit to early last month. *following my p**p cleanse lol if you know…*
This degree of self-responsibility has stretched my edges of resistance more than I realized I was signing myself up for this time around 😅
Consisting of:
- get on the mat: 40 minute sequence
- a photo of time finished
- a photo of view in front of me
- a selfie
- share it; along with a reminder to have a beautiful day.
These 5 happenings, along with a few other elements I have been practicing more flexibly, have not only reshaped my mornings - but my perspective on life.
I noticed myself dipping into another depressive cycle at the beginning of this year - “not again” said my monkey mind… and then I heard it in a different tone… not again. More definitive and with the remembrance that I get to choose differently. And so I did, and I will continue to do so. This is my promise to future me.
Even if I do not continue to share this same daily combination for social accountability, I can honor my progress and practice on. Thank you for being with me through this journey. I see you and I love you.

Grace throughout the process
When I notice hard edges, or where I tend to be hard on myself and others…
I ask where can I soften? Welcome in more grace, compassion, availability for myself or this person.
Remember that I am never viewing the whole picture, just a moment in time.
Over a lifecycle of practice on this, meeting new edges and smoothing, softening, continuing to work with.

Almost didn’t share this because of the static in my hair. It is winter, we will get over it!!

I am glowing and glamorous today thanks to time spent with my dear , some afternoon sunshine and a matcha that told me I would glow like a lightbulb from - clearly it worked 💡
On this journey of embracing all that I am, I can more clearly accept and witness others through all of their moods and moments.
Lately, all I want to do is smile at people and tell them how wonderful they are. I know you are doing your best with the tools that you have and that you are capable of so many things. Be patient.
I am grateful for every one I get to work and play with, for the trust that I am granted and never take lightly. The opportunity to welcome someone on a journey into themselves, this is the greatest gift.

Did not mean to leave you hanging this AM,
Was up and going places shortly after.
Although, this really isn’t for you - it is for my health.
It is a promise to get on the mat and breathe, look out to the world in front of me in gratitude, and unapologetically love this body I am in.
Please forgive a selfish demeanor, but I have spent so much time giving too many f***s about what other people think that each day, this is a reclamation. A reconditioning of the mind.

Today felt a little “off” - late start, didn’t get to parts of my practice until afternoon.
Yet things were still accomplished and joy and connection was also felt on multiple occasions.
Feelings are temporary. And informative, while not defining.
