This morning our Kindergarten students performed four songs for their parents to close out the school year! Our first annual Kindergarten moving-up celebration was a huge success. The students also got to do a craft and have ice pops to celebrate after the performance. Good luck in first grade!!!

Next year, student contests will take place for our new logo, which will be in effect as of July 1, 2025. During this transition year, we remain Warriors. Thank you everyone for your interest and support.
Our second graders visited Boyle for the first time today! They got to take a tour of the building before they head into 3rd grade next year. We will miss them dearly but we wish them all the best of luck at Boyle!

Our kindergarten students had their final SEL assembly of the year today! They reviewed all of the different lessons that they worked on thought the year with our school social worker, Ms. Bellini.

Great job to our second grade students who participated in their Ukulele Concerts last week!
The Comsewogue High School Student Drama Club, under the direction of Mrs. Rebecca Hershon, went to Clinton and Norwood today to meet with Kindergarten and 1st Grade Students. They read them a book of âThe Wizard of Oz,â answered their questions and talked about what they do as actors and directors every day. Their production of âThe Wizard of Ozâ will take place in the CHS Auditorium on Friday, June 7,2024 at 7:00 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM and tickets are $8.00 at the door.
Thank you to the Comsewogue Public Library for coming today to talk to our kids about their Summer Reading Program, how to get a library card, fun activities available over the next few months and lots more!

Yesterday was Norwoodâs last Garden Club meeting of the year! We planted lots of beautiful flowers in our new raised planter boxes, built and donated by Cub Scout Troop 120.

Don't forget that Norwood's Art Show is tomorrow night from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM! The book fair will also be open tomorrow evening during the same time.
Today was our second Garden Club meeting! Students repainted lots of the rocks in our âKindness Rocksâ garden in the front of the school, and also planted flowers in some urns for the front of the building.
Last Friday, our first grade classes participated in an in-school field trip from Sweetbriar Nature Center. They brought different animals for the students to see and taught the students about the wildlife on Long Island.
Yesterday, Norwood had their first Garden Club meeting! The students each decorated a small pot and filled it with soil and flower seeds. They will watch their flowers grow over the next few weeks as they learn more about the basics of gardening at the upcoming club meetings.
Congratulations to all of our students who participated in this yearâs Read-A-Thon! đ We had 49 students participate, who read a combined 771 books and raised over $3,500 for future events at Norwood. Awesome job!
