Hand bottling is daunting some days, but once we begin, and we start filling the rows in each bin, and our timing dance between hand fill and hand cap is in rhythm, there is a fulfilling calm, adrenaline high of accomplishment and deep gratitude to all assembly line workers around the world. Field Run Dry is done and we can’t wait to get it in your hands!
A family effort- hand washing, bottling, and capping our Field Run Dry. Over 1,400 bottles done today, small helping hands rule.
Such soft light and a hard frost this morning in the orchard. We stayed home for the first time this holiday- taking the opportunity to simplify and intentionally close out the year and the last 4 months of co-living with our dear friends here on the farm. It’s been beautiful, hard at times, and oh so meaningful. Two families living together on the land has made so much more possible- a conscious choice we made in order to focus on what we could do in these strange times- our team up has been the gift of 2020 and beyond for us. Hearts full, arms wide, transitions abound- we feel the close of one year and curious opening of the next. Happy end of December all.
It’s Winter Solstice! ❄️ The shortest day and longest night of the year.
So we begin, to make the journey back to light, remembering outdoor adventures with warmth. The sun on our faces. No doubt there will be peaks and valleys in the months ahead. We lean in to family, land, small joys and trust the natural world to circle back. 🌎
Harvesting our holiday tree (while Mt. St. Helen's watched from afar) lifted our spirits this year. 🌲🏔
