When comparing Foil-Faced Polyiso wall “ci” such as Hunter Xci Foil (Class A) and Mineral Wool wall “ci” we put them through the same ASTM C 209 test method of a 2-hour full immersion followed by a 10-minute drain. The samples were dried vertically as normally seen in walls. What were the results when put through the same test? Mineral Wool wall “ci” samples absorbed 8–38 times more water than the Polyiso “ci”.
