NBC Sports has revealed its complete coverage plans for the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 from opening practice on May 14 through the great race on May 26. Following its recent format for Indy 500 coverage, the majority of on-track activity will air exclusively on NBC’s Peacock streaming platform; network coverage will take the lead on the final day of qualifying and on race day. Every session will be available on Peacock, and all totaled, 60 hours of live action will be presented.

Here are this week’s motorsport TV numbers in the United States.

- The NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix on FOX garnered 4.028 viewers, up from last year (3.389). The race was the most watched sporting event of the weekend.

- Saturday’s F1 Bahrain Grand Prix on ESPN2 garnered 920 viewers, down from last year’s race (1.523 million) which ran on a Sunday and aired on ESPN.

- Sunday’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES race at St. Petersburg on NBC garnered 975,000 viewers, down from last year (1.189 million).

R&L has raised sponsorship funding to put 17-year-old Alex Berg into a car for the 2024 UK F4 racing series. Jan-Ludwig Beringer stated that this is a worldwide initiative to get the shipping community to go beyond their investments in box seats at F1 events and invest marketing dollars directly into an actual race car. Backing a driver that has the driving talent and proven results to make it all the way to F1. You never know. Living the dream—we all love a challenge!
