I will live ‘Life on Life’s Terms.’ and by doing so I will recognize when I need support for symptoms of my dual diagnosis or when I am in danger of relapse and I will seek help from the fellowship of DDA, my Higher Power, my prescriber and, or my clinician.

Join us in honoring Doyal Smith - his inspiring recovery journey, interwoven in De Paul's history, has immensely impacted our neighbors seeking recovery!
His lived experiences led Doyal to De Paul, at first as a patient. His journey allowed him to return as a volunteer and then staff member to begin building a successful career in the recovery field. Today, Doyal is the Executive Director at Dual Diagnosis Anonymous (DDA), which launched its first meeting in De Paul's basement. For 30 years, he has been a committed advocate for recovery and mental health to our neighbors seeking help.

It truly takes a village of likeminded peers to come together and help those in need! We were honored to be amongst hundreds that showed you at Punx in the Park in Salem to provide hope, resources, and support to at risk youths.
So many resources such as housing, food, clothing, medical assistance, treatment, and peer support through a multitude of combined services all in a place where we meet the homeless at-risk youth all with the attraction of clean and sober fun and music!

DDA's unique 12 step plus five program offers hope for achieving the promise of recovery through peer support meetings, workbook step study meetings, picnics, campouts, pizza fellowships, bowling, and other social gatherings.
