Q: What styles will you be teaching with Burnt Hickory Dance this year?
A: Ballet, Jazz/Hip Hop, Preschool, and Beginner Ballet/Tap
Q: What do you love the most about dance?
A: My favorite thing about dance is the opportunity it provides to worship the Father, whether on stage or in the studio. Dance is a beautiful yet hardworking sport. We work hard because we have a purpose: to joyfully worship Him with honor and give it our all. Dance is an expression, and we are called to express praise through the sport.
The Bible talks about dancing as an act of worship, as it says in Psalm 149:3 (ESV),
“Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!” I love dancing to worship music and creating pieces that tell a story of what worship looks like.
Q: What are you looking forward to the most about teaching with Burnt Hickory Dance this year?
A: I am very pumped about my jazz/hip hop class this fall! But overall, I am just so excited about everything I cannot wait for classes to start!
