Closing my retail store in January was a very difficult time for me. I dealt with many feelings all at once surrounding the experience. I felt so grateful for the opportunity to open a store at 23 and everything I learned, but couldn’t help but feel like a failure.
I am happy and proud to say I don’t feel this way anymore after a lot of healing. I realized that just because my first retail store didn’t work out doesn’t mean I’m no longer a candle maker. It’s who I am to my core, this business was my first baby. It’s my creative outlet and tangible representation of my souls work.
Even though I started @creativegoldagency I still want to continue what I started here at Calm & Scents. So what does that mean for our future? It means I will come out with at least 5 collections per year, and one day, I know in my soul I will have a store again.
