As you evolve in life, sometimes you find yourself doing things you traditionally haven’t done…well, because NOW, 𝕚𝕥 𝕞𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕤 𝕤𝕖𝕟𝕤𝕖!

It’s been hot. If you live in the Eastern US, you know…literally hot AF. Unlike most, I love hot weather & spend a lot of time walking outside - even in the hot weather.

But over the last week, I’ve had concern for all my animal friends I encounter every day, greeting me in nature.

Most of all I’ve been concerned for the family of deer that live in the wooded area next to me. The streams are dry and though I know they’ll find water somewhere…I feel for these creatures.

Early this morning, it was only 74…perfect for a walk!

While walking, I saw the buck in the woods looking for water in a stream that was non-existent. Half mile away, I saw the doe. She was panting and my heart broke 💔.

As I finished my walk I went through the woods once again. Within seconds, it began p͎o͎u͎r͎i͎n͎g͎ ͎r͎a͎i͎n͎ 🌧️. I was grateful to be under cover in the wooded canopy and was reminded of how protected our beautiful wildlife really is here.

My normal instinct would be to run home. I hate getting wet. There’s something about it that I just dislike.

But not today. Today, 𝕀 𝕥𝕠𝕠𝕜 𝕞𝕪 𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖. I gave GRATITUDE for this much needed downpour. I walked half a mile in the rain just to experience what it would be like to be those deer…needing water so desperately.

I wasn’t in danger.
I wasn’t physically unable to move.
I didn’t melt.
𝕀 𝕕𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖𝕕 𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕣𝕒𝕚𝕟.
Literally.
And I’m still Zen AF 🕉️

And then, I got home and saw this box ➡️ which oddly, I gave my Dad about 8 years ago when he was living with dementia.

I love my logo so much, I wanted to wear it permanently 🤍

For those who don’t know the origin of my logo, it’s a representation of my journey: past, present and future.

At the bottom left is a “C” - I was Julie Cline for 30 years. My children, my greatest earthly blessings, also share that name.

In the middle is a “V” - Van Meter: the name I was given when I came into this world and the name that I will have when I leave this world.

Linking the two letters is an infinity symbol and a winding loop, representative of the journey I’ve traveled.
At times, I wasn’t certain where it was going. Nonetheless, I am, and always have been infinitely connected to all former, present and future parts of myself.

The “V” extends beyond the circle it is contained within. This represents forward movement, outreach, and extending my gifts to those souls who need them the most.

And of course, in the middle of it all, a ❤️
Because that’s how I roll.
