So yesterday we had a scary incident happen at work where an inexperienced operator accidentally drove off an embankment spun around while braking and ended up backwards in a creek bed. Luckily no one was injured and no major damages had occurred.

I’ll be on a new job today since we finished up that phase of that project yesterday. The grind is real. Happy Taco Tuesday.

Happy Monday Facebook Family. On today’s agenda I’ll be starting a new phase of a bridge project hauling AB then asphalt later in the week. I’d like to thank Stodghill Trucking, FNF Construction, and ADOT for the work and keeping are highways safe.

It might be Sunday, but that doesn’t mean you can just stop and relax as a business owner. I replaced a broken brake chamber today because my brakes have to work. I still was able to relax however. 😁👍

Awwww, it’s going to be a good day. Waking up in my tractor this morning, having a little coffee and watching the news. Starting a new job. Not quite time yet to kick the tires and light the fires, but I’m definitely prepared and ready to go. Happy Hump Day !!!

This week I should be starting a new job hauling asphalt from Staton,AZ. To Wikieup,AZ.. Just waiting for approval from ADOT.

New addition. I added another half fender making my tractor a full fender set up. Now I won’t be shooting asphalt all over the back of my cab.

A Little Engine Detailing on the New Rebuilt Cummins N-14

Here’s a little engine rebuild update. My oil pump was leaking a little and wanted it re-sealed. In the process of resealing it the mechanic opened it up and noticed the gears were galled. So a new oil pump went it. The result was higher oil pressure and a cool whining now almost like a supercharger. Lol. The truck is running great though. Happy Monday all. 😁👍

It’s official: my engine rebuild is done. I got the call today and will be heading to Phoenix tomorrow to pick it up. (Picture for affect). This was a job I hauled for a relative hauling bags of colored ground up tires to be used on a play ground area.

I was in Phoenix last week and took my injectors in and got them tested at, “Fuel Injector Service”. These are the results of the test. They recommended that I had all 6 rebuilt, which I did and it ended up costing me about 1800 dollars. They looked great when I picked them up and hopefully preform even better.

It’s currently Tuesday the week following and I’m still waiting patiently. I’ve rebuilt my engine before and know how much work it is. I definitely appreciate being on this end of the rebuild process and the great work Custom Diesel does.

Currently truck engine is torn down. New Heads, factory Cummins inframe kit, and new rebuilt injectors have been delivered. Re-construction of the engine started yesterday with new main bearings after the Counterbores were cut and shimed the day before. Now the waiting game begins for me and I just need to be patient while Custom Diesel does what they do; which I really do appreciate. From what I was told it could possibly be done as early as Monday, but I’m definitely not rushing them. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. TK out…

On today’s agenda, I’ll be heading to Phoenix to check on my trucks progress and pick-up my injectors to have cleaned by fuel injection service. The machinist is suppose to be there to cut my counterbores and shim my liners. The completion date is scheduled for the end of the week. Happy Monday everyone…

Yesterday I didn’t get the three quotes I was told I should receive but did get a call from the owner of the shop. They went straight to rebuilding the whole engine with counterbores being cut and shimed. The price was reasonable and they’ll use Cummins parts. They have a great reputation and was recommended by a guy I’ve known for years that works at Cummins. I just hope they do a great job. 🙏

So my truck had an exhaust leak between the #2 and #3 head on my N-14 Cummins again. I inframed it about 10 years ago and 500,000 miles. I received a call from Custom Diesel and was told my liner protrusion was basically shallow on #4 cylinder and was not pushing into the head gasket enough which caused my head gasket to leak. I should be getting three quotes today for various degrees of repair today. I’ll keep you posted…

I saw Santa Claus today at his daytime job. Super Nice Guy.

Cold start to the morning. Oil and tar are locking things up.

I just got word my Truck Boss James with Asphalt Paving and Supply got hit with a hot asphalt shovel across the face. Asphalt is usually around 350 degrees and it’s rubberized. Also, we just had another guy pass out from heat stroke and taken to the emergency. Please Pray for these hard workers Building our roads.
