This is a video simulated class that helps you in deescalation techniques and other realistic scenarios. No live ammunition will be used. This will be a laser simulator weapon.

Deputies arrested Michael Ousley 41 of Pikeville KY on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st (Crystal M**h) and Alexander Skeens 41 of Wittensville KY on charges of (1) Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st (Crystal M**h) (2) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and other drug related charges..
Both were lodged in the Floyd County jail.

Deputies make Drug Trafficking arrest in the Toler Creek Community..
Deputies were patrolling the Toler Creek area during the early morning hours on Monday June 24th when they stopped a vehicle driven by Devonia Bradford.. Deputies suspected drug involvement and immediately deployed K9 “Bear” who quickly alerted deputies to the presence of illegal drugs.. K9 “Bear” led deputies to the discovery of Crystal M**h, M**h pipe, Digital scales along with plastic baggies. Bradford, 46 of Harold KY was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Crystal M**h) and lodged in the Floyd County Jail.

Deputies were attempting to serve an arrest warrant over the weekend in the Rock Fork community of Garrett when they located Evan Potter hiding in the bathroom of a residence. Deputies deployed K9 “Zoe” who led deputies to find a substantial sum of cash suspected to be drug money and then finding Mr. Potter in possession of Crystal M**h.
Potter was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st (M**hamphetamine) and Tampering With Physical Evidence. He was lodged in the Floyd Co Jail.
FCSO’s newest K9 deputy “Zoe” makes immediate impact and helps deputies make several drug trafficking arrest(s)..
Over the weekend, deputies stopped a vehicle in the Allen community for having defective equipment. During the stop, deputies deployed K9 “Zoe” who alerted deputies to the front bumper and hood of the vehicle. Deputies then discovered approximately 11 grams of a white crystal like substance believed to be crystal m**h being concealed under the hood inside the air breather. Terry Qualls was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st (M**hamphetamine) along with traffic offenses. Qualls was lodged in the Floyd Co Jail.
Traffic Alert: RT 122 at Price near Hamilton Trl Court is blocked due to a large truck blocking the roadway.
Motorist should use alternate route for the next hour or so while crews work to get the roadway open..
Traffic Update: Emergency personnel remain on the scene of the 2 vehicle collision on RT 122. That road is still closed and will be for another hour or so..
Traffic Alert: Emergency personnel are on scene of a two vehicle collision on KY RT 122 just outside of Martin toward Printer. Both lanes of Rt 122 are closed and motorists should use an alternate route for the next hour or longer
Pursuit leads to drug trafficking arrest :
Deputies patrolling in the McDowell community Saturday night attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations. The vehicle attempted to elude deputies then later stopped in a private driveway where the driver then fled on foot.. After being captured, the driver, Rebecca Autumn Rose was arrested and charged with numerous drug related charges including (1) Trafficking in Fentanyl 1st degree; (2) Trafficking Controlled Substance, He**in 1st; (3) Trafficking Controlled Substance, M**hamphetamine; (4) Trafficking Controlled Substance drug unspecified, oxycodone 15, greater than 100 ; (5) Trafficking Controlled Substance drug unspecified oxycodone; (6) Fleeing or evading police vehicle; (7) Fleeing or evading police on foot; (8) Resisting Arrest; (9) Failure to produce insurance card; (10) Speeding 20 mile over the limit; (11) Reckless driving; (12) Operating motor vehicle while under the influence of a sub 1st off (agg cir)
Rose was lodged in the Floyd County jail.

Floyd County Sheriff’s Office K9 Bear has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Bear’s vest was sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of K9 Drago, Floyd County, KY - EOW 6/30/22”.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., established in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is U.S. made, custom fitted, and NIJ certified. Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 5,289 vests to K9s in all 50 states at a value of $6.9 million, made possible by both private and corporate donations.
The program is open to U.S. dogs that are at least 20 months old and actively employed and certified with law enforcement or related agencies. K9s with expired vests are also eligible to participate. There are an estimated 30,000 law enforcement K9s throughout the United States.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. accepts tax-deductible contributions in any amount, while a single donation of $985 will sponsor one vest. Tip line helps deputies make drug trafficking arrest in the Goose Creek community:
A resident of Goose Creek faces multiple drug related charges after deputies conducted a raid at his residence late Wednesday night.
Gary Combs, 36, of Eastern, KY, was arrested and charged with multiple charges including Trafficking in He**in, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Escape 3rd and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Combs has been lodged in the Floyd County jail.
Deputies were assisted by officers with the Martin PD.

Deputies make arrest after recovering thousands of dollars of stolen property..
Deputies investigating a burglary and theft in the David community received several tips through our anonymous tip line that helped recover thousands of dollars in stolen property. Deputies were able to recover an ATV side by side in the Open Fork of David then later located a motorcycle at a residence in Lawrence County. Deputies have recovered several other items including pressure washers, fishing and camping equipment, tools and sports gear but still need help locating other items including:
Stihl chainsaws, Stihl weedeaters, Craftsman tools and other assorted items.
Deputies have arrested Cory Pitts of David and charged him with Theft By Unlawful Taking and Burglary. Pitts has been lodged in the Floyd County Jail. Deputies have other suspects that they believed are involved in the thefts and expect additional charges to be filed soon.

Deputies make an arrest for illegal drug trafficking.
On Sunday night, deputies were patrolling in the Harold community when they made contact with Jill Adkins, 40 of Harold, KY. Adkins was in possession of over 40 grams of M**hamphetamine, plastic baggies, digital scales and other paraphernalia along with prescription pills.
Adkins was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st (crystal m**h), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Prescription medicine) and lodged in the Floyd Co Jail.
Pursuit leads to arrest after deputies discover Fentanyl and M**hamphetamine ..
Deputies tried to stop a vehicle during early the morning hours of the 23rd, but the driver refused to stop. When deputies did get the vehicle stopped, the driver fled on foot in the Dwale community.
Deputies, utilizing K9 Bear, searched the area and later found the driver at a residence. Deputies also seized Fentanyl and M**hamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia.
Deputies arrested 49 yr old Keith Dougie Webb of Dwale KY and charged him with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl), Trafficking-in a Controlled Substance 1st (M**hamphetamine), Evading Police, Wanton Endangerment along with numerous traffic charges.. Webb was lodged in the Floyd County Jail.
UPDATE Change to start date: CSX schedules Emergency repairs for KY 680 Railroad Crossing at Harold. See details below 👇
FLOYD COUNTY (November 15, 2023) – CSX advises the public of a three-day closure for emergency rail repairs. CSX will close the crossing on KY 680 at Harold for emergency repairs. The site is located at mp 15.0 (.17 miles East of US 23) in Floyd County.
KY 680 will be closed at the crossing beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, November 27, through Wednesday, November 29. CSX expects the crossing to possibly reopen sometime Wednesday afternoon. Motorists will need to use an alternate route during this time. Please pay close attention to the signage posted throughout the area. All inquiries should be directed to CSX.
