🌟 MEET OUR NEW INSTRUCTOR🌟
Gina Horiates is a public school music teacher in South Jersey, where she teaches band, choir, general music, and music technology to students K-8. This year will mark her 10th year teaching music in the public school system. She has experience teaching all ages, from kids to adults and caters her lessons to each student's individual needs.
Gina attended college at Camden County College-Blackwood and received her Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University-Camden. Growing up, Gina began her musical journey on woodwinds with clarinet being her first instrument. As her music studies became more serious, she focused her attention on the piano, jazz studies and music composition. When not playing or teaching music, you can find her volunteering her time with various animal organizations. Gina is very excited to join the Sarah-nade team and share her passion for music with her students!

June was so full of hard work and dedication we needed TWO musicians of the month! Congratulations to our second MOTM, Vivien. Vivien is a religious practicer who always comes to lessons more than prepared, most times with all her lyrics memorized from whatever piece we are working on. Vivien is extremely positive and takes every opportunity to learn and improve. She is so excited to extend her voice lessons this summer and learn even more with Ms. Sarah!
Shouting out a huge congratulations to June’s musician of the month, Vincenzo who always works so hard for every lesson. He puts so much time and dedication behind every etude and piece he learns, and always has his recital pieces memorized! Keep up the amazing work, kid! You rock ⭐️!!

** Laney sadly had to miss the Sarahnade recital back in May due to a case of mono- she has had a rough time, especially with her voice, but with some rest, medication, and proper vocal care, she has regained almost back to 100%! We wanted to showcase her performance that she missed out but worked so hard on!**
Laney is a bright 10-year-old performer. She is a 4th grader at Main Road School in Franklinville. Since Laney was just a baby, she has had a love for music and dancing. She has been singing since she could talk and we were even nervous that when she started school, she would distract others by humming and singing all the time! Laney has also had piano lessons and performed at a few small recitals with her piano teacher. She has been dancing since she was two years old and just this year began with the dance school’s competition team. Laney also plays travel soccer. We were lucky to have someone recommend Sarah as a vocal coach for Elaina.
⭐️ NEW INSTRUCTOR ALERT⭐️
Miss Laura is SO excited to finally be working with her absolute best friend! Laura has been in love with music since she could walk, when she walked by the piano at church and just had to play it! She started piano lessons at the age of 7 with Sally Bonner and continued up until the age of 13, where she switched to guitar lessons with Sally Bonner and then David DeLuise, finally ending her lesson journey with voice lessons with Bill Stokeley at the age of 14. She continued with a Music Education degree in Classical Voice from Temple University, studying with Roberta Knie and participating in all four choirs Temple University had to offer under the guidance of Rollo Dilworth, Mitos Andaya, and Paul Rardin. She made sure to not always stick to classical music though, and branched out by joining the all-female acapella group Singchronize her sophomore year! After graduating in 2014, Laura went the private lesson route, teaching with the Cherry Hill Academy up until October of 2021. After being out of the lesson game for a while, Laura has decided it is time to finally jump back in! She currently works full-time as a paraprofessional at Archway Programs, and when she is not working she is spending time with her loving husband, volunteering at the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, and reading every book she can get her hands on!
