Get to know Ishmael Saidu!

“I did my undergrad in economics in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Most of the research that we did we used statistics so I decided to get a masters in Statistics here ar BYU to properly analyze the data I was gathering.

“Because of this transition, I had to learn R… this was challenging because I’ve never done it before. I’ve had to practice and ask questions, read and practice again and again. Once I understand it, it’s very fun!”

Advice:
“If you want to actually master statistics, you need extra time and mathematics should be your friend!” 💟🔢

Hey, y'all! We have a super cool meeting coming up next week on Tuesday April 18 at 5pm in 1159 WVB.
 
First, Coaching Actuaries recently did a huge update of their whole website to help improve their study materials even further. I'll be doing a tutorial explaining all the awesome new and old features and how to get BYU's discounts on their materials.
 
Second, we have the opportunity to hear from Coach K himself. He helps teach the preliminary exams with Coaching Actuaries and will be joining us virtually for a lecture on "Projecting a Better Tomorrow." He will be joined by Coach Gong as well.
