Center Street Old World NY Style Deli

With temperatures -2 to 13 degrees, Flu season at epidemic highs, think Tuesday's dinner at my house will be a good Filipino Chicken Soup, aka Chicken Adobo served over rice and topped with Filipino Salsa. Nothing like hot soup on a cold wintry day, and nothing like the medicinal value of Chicken Soup in the cold/flu season.

It is inexpensive and easy to make....Anyone want the recipe just let me know.

Just wanted to drop a line to everyone and say hello. Also wanted to make all aware that I will be starting a page/group called "Cooking with Kate". My initial plan is to share some good recipes, cooking tips, spice tips, answer questions and things like that. Those interested in going the group let me know. Wanted to take a minute and let our friends & customers know I share recipes. Not only can I make a great sandwich, I have expertise in everyday cooking, I am well versed in Filipino, Italian, Asian, Vegetarian, Vegan and Fusions Cuisine. Also make great soups that are sure to please any palate. [the secrete is usually in the spice]. So if any of you need an idea, a recipe or some instruction, let me know.

Down the road I may be putting together business as a traveling Chef......Chris & I would come to your home, plan a menu with you, do the shopping for you, prepare and serve the meal for you and your guests and of course clean up. Will keep you informed as this thought grows and comes to fruition. Happy New Year!

So today I did some much needed organizing and cleaning in my kitchen [at home]. I still need to go to the Deli and wrap up our final week. Take home personal items, empty shelves, clean out fridges, fryer, grill & stove....Just didn't have the heart to do it today.....Will have it in order for the new folks by Monday end.

Then it is take a break, get house in order, take care of medical issues and look forward to the future, whatever it may bring.

I want to thank all the customers that came in today for sandwiches and for your patience. We had a very busy and outstanding day! Thank you for all your wishes and prayers, your patronage and support.

We have loved serving you and bringing a little bit of "Old World New York" to Utah. One never knows, if things work out and the Lord sees fit there maybe [and it is my hope that there will be] A Center Street Deli - Part II.

Please keep us in you prayers as we will keep you in ours. May each and everyone of you have a wonderful and prosperous

Center Street Deli is sorry to announce that medical conditions at home necessitate the closing of our Deli. Today [12/28/12] will be our final day of operation.

I want to thank all of our customers for their support and patronage over the past two years. We will miss each and everyone of you. I also want to thank Renee, Chris, Amber and Aspen for their work, loyalty and dedication to the Deli.

I will be keeping our page open that I may keep you abreast should our circumstances change and we reopen with a "Center Street Deli ~ Part II" in the future.

I will be happy to share any recipes and/or tips on food prep with you, you have only to ask.

Deli is closed today.....Sorry, we tried driving there [slipping and sliding], then came inches from rear ending the truck in front of us, that is all it took. Turned around and came back home......Be Safe, Kate.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Remember Center Street Deli will be opened today [December, 24] from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm......

We will be closed on Christmas Day to celebrate with family. Opening again at 11:00 am on Wednesday.

Center Street is sad to announce that we will be closing our doors permanently at the end of 2012. This decision was made due to unforeseen employment and medical issues in our personal household.

We want to thank each customer for their patronage over the past two years. We have enjoyed serving you, meeting all of you and becoming personal friends with many of you.
