Wow! What a phenomenal outpouring of support for our Troops! 43 people showed up tonight to pack 143 Thanksgiving boxes ! Not only our volunteers who come each month, but our Firefighters, our Sheriff and Under Sheriff, students from Pryor and Adair, families who had never been before came out, teachers, moms and dads. It was absolutely heartwarming! I can’t tell you how much I love our community ❤️. We did it! Took us a little longer tonight ,as there were only 13 of us, but we got it done! Moms, dads, Veterans and students. 141 Halloween boxes filled to the top with lots and lots of candy and goodies for our deployed men and women!! 🇺🇸 Bringing them memories from home 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸 🇺🇸God Bless America and God Bless Our Troops 🇺🇸 Mayes County Blue Star Mothers, OK18

What a fun, fun week at Green Country Camp with these kiddos. They asked lots of questions, about what we do, and one camper even brought us a name of his deployed family member in Africa. 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸Another serviceman we are blessed to support while he’s serving this great Country. I think the highlight for them was when they got to pack a toiletry box for a service member. ❤️ There were lots of questions about whether “all this is gonna fit???😳” 😂 Just like I do when we pack boxes each month, I always pack a sample box with everything to show it really does! 😉 And” we have to cover the whole box in tape??” Yes…and we explained why. We are blessed the Camp asked us to be their Missions Group for June/ July. Another “bonus blessing “, these kiddos are divided into three groups, blue, green, and yellow, and each week they compete on who brings the most items for us to use packing our Troops care packages each month….and for this months particular box packing, we are having to buy very little!! How awesome is that!!!❤️❤️❤️ They have brought wipes, bar soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and lots lots more that we are using in this months toiletry boxes. In fact, we “WILL NOT” be meeting in July at the fairgrounds to pack boxes, because these kids will have packed and taped every box this month for our Troops!!!
