Now that it’s been gifted, I made a Totoro for my secret Santa. They loved it. So it was worth it. The pattern was amazingly detailed. It had YouTube links, tons of pictures and multiple options for certain parts. The pattern is from the PeMeAmiShop. If someone knows their IG, please tag them.

Happy market day! The rain isn’t falling so come out and support all the vendors on this !

Scrunchies galore. Last craft session before the winter market tomorrow . Can’t believe it’s already been a year. Can’t wait to see everyone there. Check out all the vendors 10-6pm Saturday and Sunday.

Had a great time at my crafting retreat this weekend. Made some more cow loveys. Before their haircut, they were very emo.

Adorable baby/toddler headbands on the 22 pin. I even used the good yarn. Lol

These kids hats turned out so stinkin cute. I made 4 and have 2 sizes of each. A note I got at last years markets was that I didn’t have enough kid options. So I listened.

11/08/2022

Probably my three favorite styles from my last set. I was looking through my alcohol inks and brown struck me as something that may be cool. I added some silver leaf flakes and I like it. This was the last collection I made for the winter markets. Hopefully people like them.

I made another lovey. This one is a completely different style. Essentially a stuffy without the stuffing. The pattern for the legs was really cool. The bottom parts are stuffed, then crocheted closed on the back loop while you pick up the main color in the front loop. Getting the head on straight was a bit rough. I did it perfect the first time minus the fact it was in backwards 🤦🏻‍♀️ pattern is by

These are the cutest loveys when they’re all finished. I purchased the pattern from . Next on the list is another lovey from their Etsy that I’m super excited to work up. Hope everyone is making magic today.

I couldn’t, in good conscience, waste more translucent Cernit without cleaning this thing. I always forget what a pain it is to get the pieces lined up properly then play the shake it game to get the screws to pop out the tiny holes lol.

How stinkin cute is this turtle lovey?! The pattern was pretty simple and easy to follow. I did add 10 extra stitches to the blanket chain to make it longer and then added extra rows to the width. I kinda love it. Pattern from

These little guys just went out in the mail. The pattern was simple to follow, though the ears were a bit more finicky than I’d anticipated, but not a big deal. The tails were probably my favorite part. And I attached the arms and legs with a method that allows them the move freely. Overall a super cute pattern from .

A friend of mine reached out for a goat commission last week. She also had me make a goat a couple years ago. This guy turned out pretty well. I’ve been doing a lot of market prep the last couple weeks so this was a nice change of pace.

Assembled! These cats are the most roly poly things and I love it.

10/26/2022

Cats. Some assembly required.

The glasses complete the outfit.

So. Many. Hats. This is a chunk of the knit hats that I finally sewed buttons on to loop the Pom Pom. Only stabbed my thumb 3x…this means it’s market season! 😂 My list is so long, but this is one more thing crossed off.

10/07/2022

Got a new toy. Made some twist headbands. So so excited to make all the things. I’m a fan through and through, but unfortunately we live in territory. There may also be some twists coming up. Stay tuned.

I made a cat. It’s very roly poly.

I’m trying to find another pattern or two that are fairly simple so I can just bust them out without thinking in order to prepare for market season. This guy was simple, but I did have to pull up the YouTube video when the pattern got a little confusing. Pattern is from .lily.amigurumi

And it’s finished! Had to fix the binding a bit today. And to be honest, it’s a hot mess. However, for my first quilt, I feel pretty ok about it. I love the colors and I’m super stoked to realize that it doesn’t fit anywhere and that the white will get too dirty and then it’ll end up in a closet somewhere. 😂 Now on to some crocheting projects.

09/18/2022

All the puffs are done. And all the strips are sewn together. Pretty sure there’s no one on this planet I love enough to do this again 😂 My neck and shoulders are one big cramp from yesterday’s marathon sewing session. Now to backing and binding. The easy part. Right? Looking back I could have filled the puffs more, but the difficulty level rises as does the frustration. So I’m happy with how it turned out.

09/14/2022

2 rows down. 22 to go 🤪🤪🤪 The stuffing and sewing isn’t bad, but attaching the unstuffed row to the stuffed row while keeping your seams and corners aligned is a solid challenge. One that I’ve only attempted, but have yet to master so far 😂

09/12/2022

Step 4 of 5,472…laying out the pieces. Because I couldn’t find enough fabrics in the colors I liked, each color has a different amount of squares. So instead of patterning it out ahead of time, I just placed randomly then adjusted as I saw fit. Now the rows have been bagged accordingly and the process of sewing them together has begun.

09/11/2022

432 squares later and I’m ready for the next step. 😂

A little while ago I reached out to a handful of maker friends w the idea to commission crochet hooks in my most used sizes. I’m excited to say that my first one arrived yesterday. My good friend from grad school created this hook and while we never really discussed types of wood, I had no idea it was going to be made w skateboards. This particular one can be taken apart for storage purposes which I also thought was pretty cool. I can’t wait to use it. Thanks again my amazing friend.

When a good friend rescues an amazing cat and names him Hulk, you immediately think of a crochet item to send. Then when you learn that said cat doesn’t play w toys, you then make a Hulk to match said friend’s Thor. The hair on this one was a hot mess so I adjusted my hook size and my pattern counts. Worked about much better the second time around.

864 squares, 2 sizes and 5 hours later, I’m ready to begin step 2 😂😂😂 thank you .bear for your step by step videos. Super excited. Also, as a side note, my trusty cutting mat that I’ve had for 9 years was used for the last time today. Let’s just say I’m glad I put a protective layer down before my mat or else my table would be a hot mess 😬

A friend reached out yesterday asking if I could create a sloth. I’ve never done one, but we found a pattern we both liked and away I went. While the pattern was super easy to follow, the assembly was a bit lacking. Mainly where the safety eyes were concerned. But after taking it apart, pulling out all the stitches on the face and reassembling, it turned out pretty ok. There were a lot of sweats involved.

When we go on vacation, I always bring yarn and hooks. This year though, I didn’t bring polyfil. Instead, I ended the project right before the final decrease and left extra yarn to finish once I got home. Saved on space and it was a quick ish finish. We have 8 octopi, 2 mini, a large starfish and a tiny starfish.
