YES, it’s real! The City of Racine has $1,500 GROW Racine Scholarships available for adult residents who are looking to get their High school credential or enter the Trades!
Pictured are just a few of GROW Racine’s $1,500 scholarship recipients. Every eligible participant will receive payments amounting up to $1,500 so long as they continue to progress in their chosen program. By the end of whatever program chosen, each participant should have received up to $1,500 of their scholarship. What makes an adult eligible? City of Racine residency! Any City of Racine resident (18 years+) who applies for the GROW Racine scholarship, enrolls in their program, and reaches program milestones will receive payments of their $1,500 scholarship.

Make sure to mark your calendars and plan to join us and your neighbors at one of the upcoming Racine Bounces Back! events! The first one is next Wednesday, May 4th at the Cesar Chavez Community Center. All events include lots of activities for kids, free resources, raffle prizes, opportunities to apply for City jobs - including summer youth employment! - and more!
Attention Racine students, ages 9-13! This Spring Break there will be a history-based scavenger hunt around downtown Racine!
From April 15-22 there will be fliers with historical facts about Racine landmarks and businesses in storefront windows around downtown. All you need to do is match 10 correct answers on your scavenger hunt form and submit it for a chance to win some great prizes! (Form drop-off locations listed in directions)
Prizes include... Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite (5 winners), Board Games (10 winners) and a Domino's Family Pizza Meal (All students!)
