Stay safe! This heat is no joke!

Summer heat waves have been the biggest weather-related killers in Wisconsin for more than 50 years, far exceeding tornado and other storm-related deaths. Thousands of Wisconsinites fall ill or are hospitalized for heat-related illnesses each year. As we see higher temperatures this week, please take steps to stay safe. You can start by hydrating often and staying out of the heat as much as possible. 🌡️

The inside of a vehicle can be especially dangerous. On an 80-degree Fahrenheit day, temperatures inside a vehicle parked in direct sunlight can climb almost 20 degrees in 10 minutes. 🚘

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle. Leaving a window cracked is not enough!

Rant Ahead!

Motion Physical Therapy, LLC has been denied network status with several newer insurances in the area. One these insurers is Aurora Quartz.
How can an independent provider survive when the major area medical system also now has it's own insurance plan, designed to keep patients from utilizing practitioners outside of their system?

The rationale we are told for our denial in their network is that they have "determined there are adequate providers in the area". This is what they all tell us when they deny our network participation. I don't pretend to know how they make that determination, but I can tell you this:
Motion Physical Therapy, LLC has an average turnaround from contact to first visit of approximately 3 days.
At Motion PT you will be seen by a PT with 17 years in private practice; you will never be seen by a traveling therapist and then handed off when their placement ends; you will never be in a gym filled with other patients; you will never be put on a bike under the supervision of a tech;
You WILL receive one-on-one care; you WILL be treated for a minmum of 45-minutes by your therapist; you WILL be listened to and your condition fully explained.

We routinely take calls from new patients that are being told they can't get an appt at a hospital-based clinic for 2-3 weeks!

If you are experiencing long waits for appointments, I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider and also express your concerns to the medical team referring you for care.

You have a choice about where you receive care. Some insurance companies are trying to resrict that choice. Indeed, the medical systems themselves are! When their restrictions impede your care, you are the only one who can speak up.

If we are in your network, we will flex our schedule as much as possible to meet your needs. If we are out of your network, we have reasonable cash rates.
