I am thrilled to have met Rev. Dr. Timothy Verhey, who heads the Division of Liberal & Creative Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies. His innovative project inspired his students to ponder how they could make a difference in the world. The philosophy and religious studies program he oversees encourages students to think critically and delve into meaningful conversations that help us better understand ourselves and our place in the world. The program embodies the spirit of NACA - a call to action, urging us to turn our dreams into reality! Homeownership 2024, here we come!

I am excited to be involved in this project, which stemmed from Genesis Davis' research on minority homeownership challenges. We were met with open arms by the University and Representative Garland Pierce of the N.C. House of Representatives - 48th District, as we brought NACA to Laurinburg.
