is closed for private events during our normal residency hours this weekend, so we’re hosting an online pickup at down the road tomorrow night from 6:30-8pm. We’ll have their freezers restocked with scoops and will be hanging out with your pints, so come say hi!
Meet Brookie Monster & The Vegan Mudslide.
Brookie Monster is kinda like if I were Dr. Frankenstein and put all of your favorite baked mix-ins from retired 💀 flavors into one flavor to create the perfect flavor (and my own doom, like any tragic hero). It’s a malted vanilla ice cream with our chocolate wafer cookies (Maureos), malted cookie dough chunks, and gooey brownies. It contains milk, soy, wheat, and eggs. Maybe also evil, we aren’t sure yet. The story just started!
The Vegan Left Hook Mudslide is my personal gift to the vegans and lactose intolerants who gazed longingly at our instant cult classic flavor featuring Kristin’s Colombia blend. In this vegan and GF version, you’ll find our own chocolate cookies, a cold brewed coconut base, and ribbons of fudge. This flavor does contain coconut, soy, and caffeine (because it’s real coffee y’all).
Olive and I were just wondering if you were planning on stopping by the Childless Cat Lady Social tonight. The social runs 5-9pm and ice cream service starts at 6pm. We’ll have a full scoop menu, pints and sammies in the back, and the option to turn your flavor of choice into a Coconut Tree Sundae (topped with fudge, fluff, toasted coconut, and a little palm tree 🌴). A portion of our proceeds from tonight will be donated to to support the very important work they do. Come by for ice cream, dribk specials, tunes from , pizza from , and good company.

Here’s your scoop menu for our third annual Sweets Social at ! If you’re hoping to stock up on pints of any of your favorites, we are also offering a free pint pickup. Simply pre-order on our website and select tonight’s popup at checkout! We did get hit pretty hard with orders last weekend, so some flavors may be sold out. We’ll be restocking next week and can schedule more pickups based on demand. We won’t have pints available to buy on site, so make sure you order before 3pm this afternoon to have your pints included in our route.

As we go on, we remember all the times we had together.
The following 6 flavors have been required from our list of Residents (flavors that we keep in stock on a regular basis). While they’ll no longer be permanently restocked, they will return in limited pint runs, at events, and at our eventual future scoop shop 🤞. We simply no longer have the space to keep them all in our freezer at the same time and we’d love to use that space for more frequent creative and seasonal flavor drops.
To help make up for this big change, we will be adding Midnight Snack to our Residents list, along with one new Frankenstein flavor combining beloved mix-ins from 3 of the retiring flavors 👀. More on that next week.
You can help us celebrate our retirees by stocking up your freezer. All pint inventories have been adjusted online, so you’ll need to order these flavors and any seasonal flavors online to claim them. The new grab-and-go menu for our residency at will be posted to our stories shortly so you can see what you’re able to still grab in person.
Pickups for online orders are taking place tonight at Hartwell, at our kitchen space during the week, and at the next Wednesday evening at our annual Sweets Social popup.
You’re cordially invited to help us celebrate the retirement 7 resident pint flavors! Tomorrow morning, we’ll announce the flavors that will no longer be consistently restocked, but rotated in periodically. We know you won’t be happy to see these flavors go, but we hope to soften the blow with 2 new menu additions and the flexibility and freezer space we really need in order to bring back our fun flavor rotations. We’ve simply maxed out on what we can keep in our tiny kitchen, and need to keep the menu tight in order to bring you more seasonal & adventurous flavors. When we have a space of our own, we hope to bring everything back to the roster for you. In the meantime, let’s have some fun together. Our pint inventory has been updated online, so you’re free to begin your panic purchasing tonight.
After rain comes the rainbow. At the end of the rainbow, there’s a pot of gold (read: really good ice cream). We have a busy, fun weekend planned to celebrate kicking Debbie out to the curb. The weather is looking promising, but we’ll update you if anything changes. Saturday, we’re celebrating the wonderful humans and dogs of .rescue for their 5th Anniversary Paw-ty at . We’ll have pup cups and human cups galore. Come early, because we may be packing up a bit early to make it on time to our next event! From 6pm-10pm we’ll be at Fred Fletcher Park for the August . We have 2 very nerdy specials to share for their anime themed event. Maura lived in Japan for 5 years and we have some big ol’ nerds on staff, so we’ll be bringing our A game with this one. We’ll share that menu with you soon but you should go ahead and mark your calendar to come see what’s going down.
You asked nicely (if a bit passionately), so we finally made Midnight Snack pints for you. They’re online now, and we’ll have extras with us at tonight from 6-9pm. If you show up for this flavor like you normally do, we will add it to our residents menu for the first time in 4 years so that it stays stocked year round. That’s a promise. I’ll miss being messaged about Midnight Snack on a weekly basis as I have been since August of 2020, but I’m willing to do it for you.

What's in the bag? That's for you to find out, Detective. We've got se7en bags of mystery ice cream available. Each bag has 4 different pints of ice cream and is priced at $25. We get our freezer space back, and you get some really awesome ice cream for cheap. You'd have to really lose your head to miss out on this opportunity.

We dedicate this National Ice Cream Day to you, our people— our “Scoop Group.” You saw what happened to us and you showed up for us. We had some banger specials all weekend and we SOLD OUT of GF cones and sandwiches way faster than we thought we would today. Thanks for coming around and being there for us as a community. It has been hard to stay on everyone’s radar without a store front this summer, and I can’t say I don’t notice when we aren’t on a single list for National Ice Cream Day. Regardless—we’re in this for you and because we genuinely love making ice cream and keeping it fun. So thank you, thank you, thank you for thinking of us and for always showing up. 🍦 ❤️
Y’all really showed up last night and we had a ton of fun! We still have plenty of our specials to go around and we’ll be at from 12-5pm today and at at and from 2-6pm tomorrow with hot, fresh GF cones.
Duke’s Hot Tomato Special:
Duke’s Mayo & Parmesan Basil ice cream topped with a spicy tomato jam we made in house with local 🍅, basil from the farmer’s market, and a crostini made with and EVOO. It’s weird and confusing and delicious. We have Parmesan crisps for our GF friends!
Midnight Snack Sundae:
Our house (Belgian) chocolate ice cream topped with an absurd amount of dark caramel sauce and dark chocolate coated potato chips. We’ll try and have our whipped cream canister working today, too (because a little whip makes everything better).

Hi friends. It has been an overwhelming morning. Overwhelming seeing our equipment stolen right in front of us, and overwhelming to see the support from our community. This Sunday is actually National Ice Cream Day, so we've been planning on some fun specials for you. If you could come out to show your support, you know it would mean the world to us. Friday evening, we'll be at with from 6-9pm for the launch of their live Yacht Rock series. Saturday, we'll be there from 5-8pm serving you to-go (they'll have the indoors booked for a private event, but we'll be outside slinging specials). Sunday, we'll be serving a fully GF menu and hot, fresh GF cones at the monthly market from 2-6pm between and @. ALL WEEKEND (while supplies last), we're serving up a Midnight Snack Sundae-- chocolate ice cream with dark caramel and dark chocolate coated potato chips with a vanilla whip. We're also unofficially joining the Hot Tomato Summer (oops we didn't register but we really wanted to join the fun with something funky) with a parmesan mayo ice cream swirled with spicy tomato basil jam. Topped with a crostini on Friday and Saturday (with a GF alternative Sunday unless we sell out).
Tomorrow's collab pop-up at has us super excited! We thought it was time to share a bit more about Chef Tie Whittaker, the owner of so you can see why we were fangirling a little bit when we found out we'd be sharing a kitchen.
Tie has been baking for life, but went into Gastronomy more formally in 2010 with an MA training at Boston University. You might recognize her desserts from in downtown Raleigh, or you may have seen her on Food Network's Guy's Grocery Games, NC Agriculture Stove Side Chats, BustId Weddings, NCRLA's Chef Showdown (she was Pastry Chef of the year in 2021), or as the People's Choice Best Pastry Chef in 2019. You'll find her own boutique pastry company featuring local ingredients from NC farmers and purveyors more and more because she stays BUSY! Follow along to see what she's up to, and stop by to try this heavenly confection we dreamed up together.

We’re back, and things are about to get VERY exciting. First things first, our partners at will be opening up fully stocked on our resident pints, ice cream sandwiches, and pup cups. We’re starting the weekend residency there with a very special guest . Can’t wait to tell you more about her and our collab dessert tomorrow 👀. On Saturday, we’ll be starting our day among our plant friends at and following it up with the start to a new series at Hartwell: Sundaes on Saturdays. We’ll have sundae offerings and a rotating special every week, so stay tuned to see what you can expect to see. We’re all super excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to see you there!

Hi Pookies. Did you know you can catch us every weekend this summer at for a cold treat? Fridays and Saturdays from 6-9pm, we set up our mini scoop stand! The Hartwell freezer stays stocked with all of our other goodies, so you can snag what you want whenever they’re open, even outside of our own “office hours.” Pre-orders are still on the website if you want to ensure your flavors will be there when you come, but our goal is to make it as easy as possible to pick up your favorites whenever you want. Tonight, we’re debuting our Chippywich 2.0– a browned butter cookie with Belgian chocolate, sea salted vanilla ice cream, and our house made fudge. The pint freezer will be fully loaded, and our weekend scoop flavors will mirror our Pride menu from last weekend:

Happy weekend! Starting today, we're starting a fundraiser for our friend and her pup Joey who isn't feeling his best. To help them pay for the crazy vet bill they're about to have, all Pup Cups (made with yogurt, bananas, apple sauce, and peanut butter) sold over the next week or so will benefit Joey. Buy a pup cup online, stop by our residency, or come see us at Pride tomorrow. We'll also have a Joey jar for cash donations all weekend. If you want to contribute but don't have a pup/don't want a cup, you can just leave us a note at check-out.
HAPPY PRIDE WEEK Y'ALL! We're so excited for our biggest and best day of the year at this Saturday! We'll be bringing gallons upon gallons of our ice cream to keep the scoops going all day long and have the best crew lined up to serve (ice cream). If you're looking for something a bit more low key, maybe come see us at Friday evening. We get there around 5pm and typically start serving scoops by 6pm. Their freezers will be absolutely packed with our pints and pup cups, too. We're looking forward to seeing more of our regulars again now that we're easier to find!
It's another jam packed scorcher of a weekend for us at Bold Batch! Can you tell we love June?
We're kicking off our summer residency at Friday evening. We'll have our cart for scoops and a freezer packed with our resident pints that you won't need to pre-order to get. For any flavors, you can still schedule a pick-up at Hartwell (during residency hours) or our kitchen (weekdays). Saturday, we're also spending some time with our friends at Maker's Alley in North Hills to celebrate Father's Day. The first 40 scoops (including cones, if that's what you're into) are FREE courtesy of so come early and bring Dad! Sunday we're attending our second monthly fully Gluten Free Market at . There will be a bounce house, a petting zoo, and lots of local GF vendors and food trucks.

Friday evening, we'll be in North Hills' for Night Out at the Park with and 15+ other small businesses. There will be raffle baskets worth $50+ to raise money for 2 local charities benefitting the event's cause: Mental Health Awareness.
Saturday, we're back with our besties at for an evening movie night. This time, without the rain (we hope).
Sunday, we'll be slinging ice cream to the tune of local bluegrass again at from 2-4pm.

This is a dramatic re-enactment of what it was like to make our foraged honeysuckle ice cream for this weekend. The result is about as local as it gets, with a subtle, sweet floral flavor. We'll be garnishing scoops with fresh flowers all weekend. This flavor is only around in scoops and for a limited amount of time, so come see us soon!

Maybe this is my way of begging Kristin to make this into a signature drink for me. Maybe it’s just for your enjoyment. Who is to say?
