My grandmother always said, āsave where you can, spend where you must.ā She was talking about finance, but it can also be applied to how you approach nutrition too! If youāre trying to lose weight, and you donāt absolutely need the wrap in your chipotle bowl, skip it. Save those carbs & gluten for something that you reaalllly want. Be conservative. Be consistent. This way, when the food choices are out of your control, you can let go and enjoy life to the fullest feeling your best!

Are you plant based? We are big plant eaters! But we also eat meat. Why? Because over the many millennia humans have evolved, we have always eaten plants and animals. Halting all animal food consumption could lead to a systemic protein deficiency which can lead to mental health problems, low immunity, infertility and worse! With that said, itās totally cool to have a vegetarian meal each day, as long as youāre meeting your protein needs. Here are the ingredients for a delicious vegetarian taco salad with pinto beans, zucchini, avocado, cilantro, Greek yogurt for sour cream, salsa, cheese, onions, tomatoes, and of course fresh Romaine lettuce!

IODINE DEFICIENCY. Thatās the topic. Societally weāve become deficient due to a replacement of iodized salt with sea salt. As a nutrition professional, I concur that sea salt IS healthier than iodized.
HOWEVER. NOW, based on my clinical experience and observation of cultural health problems combined with this major food culture shift, I believe many people have become iodine deficient.
IF youāre dealing with hormone imbalances, slow metabolism, immune issues, or low s*x drive, and the symptoms are of unknown origin or you have hypothyroidism, you could try taking iodine drops. Or start including a regular flow of āsea vegetablesā and āsea foodsā into your diet. It doesnāt have to be fish or shrimp.
Hereās one of my favorite quick & easy go-to seaweed products and recipes (see photos).
This seaweed salad has cucumbers, seaweed, and scallions tossed with a dressing made of rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, Bragg liquid amino acids, and topped with LOTS of sesame seeds. Itās so good, and just as importantly, it makes me feel Sooo good!! š¤øš»āāļøš¤øš½š¤øāāļø

Sharing this āalmost ketoā meal for a friend whoās gone ketoš. I want to make sure he (and youš) do it the healthiest way humanly possible if so! This is what I made for lunch and it was right after errands so I was starving and didnāt do it to perfection. But still sharing because I canāt let perfection stand in the way of good š¤·š»āāļø
This plate consists of 2 organic grass fed chicken eggs cooked in organic butter. The tomatoes & cilantro āsaladā is drizzled with avocado oil & nothing else. I could have added fresh onion š§
or garlic š§, and I wished Iād also added some fresh lime juice š. Avocado š„would have also been Great to help push up the fat to make it truly keto. You would need at least 1/2 a Haas Avo to balance out the macros, depending on how much butter & avo oil in the eggs & on the salad.
I used cilantro because it supports liver & blood health. One down side of too much protein and animal fat ie. Keto is that it can cause blood lipids to rise. Iām not talking about in years, rather in weeks or monthsš±š©š»āāļøāļø.
So anyone on a diet should also be including lots of liver and blood supportive & ! is a personal fave, and I recommend you add it to everything. in another incredible green for those on a or
Other aspects of this meal that help it become more include adding richly colored, red tomatoes. These protects the cardiovascular system with extra vitamin C needed to support health as well as to support the arteries from developing
The sausage isnāt āthe healthiestā, but itās Turkey sausage free of chemicals (nitrates, etc). Youāll have to check the labels to know whatās truly in your sausage, unless you grind your own, and I donāt š!
