Happy 4th of July from Jazzy’s girls!!!
Make sure your Doods stay inside and carry their “ID”- meaning making sure that their microchip is activated! If you have not activated their chip and don’t have time to go to the vet to scan the chip for the number, send us a DM. We have all of their numbers recorded and would be happy to give it to you.
This is your reminder to:
✅ Check your pet’s collar and ID tag
✅ Make sure they have a safe and comfy spot to relax inside
✅ Have a plan for keeping them safe on the 4th
July is . We care 💚
It’s that time of year again….
Mr Brown, fresh from his bath and pedicure, is ready for his blow dry. ALD’s coats require regular grooming. We suggest every 6 weeks if you want to keep their coat longer, and every 8 weeks for a shorter cut. By the time these babies come home to you, they will have had three baths in our professional grooming tub, and will have been on our grooming table, getting their coats dried with our high velocity dryer- the same type used by professional groomers. We take things slow, so that while they don’t love the dryer, they learn to not be frightened. This is an important step to acclimate your pup to a grooming routine. Whether you choose to groom at home or at a groomers, it is important that your pup knows what to expect. Plus that, trimming around their eyes so they can see and regular nail trims are important for their comfort and safety. We want to make sure no detail is overlooked in getting them ready for their new lives. Are you ready for your new best friend? He is getting ready for you!!!
Nailed it!!

Happy One Year Birthday to Ellie and Ditto's litter of 10! Let's see some one year old birthday celebration photos!
The "Three Amigos" are killing it at puppy preschool! Today, we went on a field trip. Instead of riding in their car crates that we use when they were babies, they have now graduated to harnesses and seatbelts. We take pups for car rides regularly from birth to go home in crates. As adults, most dogs ride in the back seat. We find that early exposure to motion helps later on with motion sickness. These three, with the training and exposure that they are getting now will make a transition to a new home easy peasy. If you want to push the easy button with the puppy basics, these kids are ready for you! Puppies are 13 weeks old, will have their final shots next week, and be ready to hit the road with you. Interested in a trained pup? You can hop on our website, LuckyDood.com to learn more under our Availability page. These pups will be about 50 pounds as adults.

So, Mr. Green is officially in puppy preschool! He has "sit to say please" mastered, is reliable on "down", is comfortable in a harness and seat belt by himself in the car, and has been sleeping through the night reliably for the past month. He has a set schedule with meals and bedtime, and is pretty much on "puppy auto-pilot". He is one chill little Dood that is quick to learn and adapt. He is very people connected, he would do well with older children and other friendly dogs. Cats, we don't know about... He is medium energy, very willing to sit next to you, or keep you company at dog friendly social outings. If you would like to know more about this guy, please reach out! To get our process started, go to our website, LuckyDood.com.
Are you ready for your new best friend? Mr. Green is looking for you!
Greetings from whelping box!!! We are growing up!! If you turn up the volume, you might hear thunderstorms. Since we don’t have the real thing available currently, today is “thunderstorm day”. We start out quietly, and gradually turn up the volume as the pups get used to that sound. Now that their ears
are open, we run a soundtrack with various sounds that pups will be exposed to when they are home with you. Pups will be four weeks old tomorrow- so the babies have moved to larger quarters, with their potty area, fluffy beds to lay on, and new soft toys to explore. In addition to the new sounds curriculum, the four week agenda is:
1) potty pads with artificial turf- they will not only use the turf area for their potty, but this is a new texture for these babies
2) new toys at eye level- they still can’t see well, but their sense of smell will guide them to new discoveries.
3) new things to climb on and negotiate
4) mama is still nursing, but we supplement with gruel to start the transition to kibble.
We have possible openings on this litter. These pups will be true standard Multigen ALD’s. 60-70 pounds when grown. They are ready for you in mid July.

Does it get any sweeter than this? Jazzy’s pups are three weeks old already. Their hearing is coming on board- all new sounds have 11 little heads up and curious. This is our favorite age!!! All pups will have a liver or black nose. Right now we see a lot of freckles- eventually that will fill in to see a little coal black nose in a face full of fluff. Cuteness overload!!! We have two remaining spots available. If you are ready for your new best friend, go to our website LuckyDood.com to start the process.
Mr. Purple is now Lucky Country Finn. This Lucky Dood went home to Charleston to live with his brothers, Lucky Country Milo, and Lucky Country Po. In addition to his canine brothers, this guy has a lot of humans that will love the stuffin out of him. Finn, you are going to be living your best life!!!
Oh Eli… this not so little Dood is hanging here until he is 4 months old. He will have some preliminary testing done before he joins his guardian home. This guy is going to be about 70ish pounds when grown. We are so excited about him and what he will bring in genetic diversity to Lucky Country. And in addition to all that, he is such a happy go lucky stinking cute boy!!! We are smitten.
No laying down on the job for Jazzy! Some mamas like to sit up and nurse their babies …. All ELEVEN of them! She is such a great mama. These pups will be true standard sized ALD’s. We think 60+ and about 23” tall at their shoulders. We have openings for two males. If you are thinking about a new best friend, go to our website and tell us about your dream dog! LuckyDood.com.
Miss Pink is 10 weeks old, crate trained, sleeping through the night, using her doggie door to go potty, and is well on her way to mastering the patience to "sit to say please" instead of jumping up to get what she wants... which is love from her humans! She has completed her second series of vaccines, is micro-chipped, and has gotten a full physical by our vet.
This little girl is very much like her mother in terms of temperament and social skills. That means that she would be comfortable in almost any situation. Children, Dogs, (maybe cats, which we don't know for sure since we are a cat allergy household). Her coat is a fleece that is easy maintenance, think wash and wear. She is ready to join her family and make someone as happy as she is on a daily basis.
If you want a chill pup that can roll with you, this is your girl! She is on our website, Go to LuckyDood.com to complete our preference form to get things started.

Our puppy of the day today is Mr. Green. He has a perfect fleece coat, chocolate with a couple of little white markings on his chin and chest, and will mature to about 50 pounds when grown. He is a mid energy boy, who LIVES for his ball. He would do well in a home with kids and other dogs. He is 100% crate trained, sleeping through the night, and for a daily nap. He is reliable with sit when not competing with his siblings. He has two of his vaccine series complete, and is microchipped. He is doggie door trained, and at 11 weeks is making the connection to going outside. The first step in potty training! If you are looking for a great stable pup, this is your guy!
